With the outbreak of the novel coronavirus, apart from wearing a mask and always disinfecting your hands, here are some tips on using essential oils to protect yourselves; purify the air and reduce the germs at your home:

1. To reduce germs in the air, diffuse 3-5 drops of Geranium 天竺葵and tea tree茶樹 essential oils for two hours every day.

2. To ease symptoms of discomfort of the upper respiratory system like itchy throat and runny nose, mix 1 drop each of bay laurel月桂, cypress 絲柏ravintsara 羅文沙葉and cajeput 白千層essential oil with 10ml of jojoba oil or any base oil. Massage near the throat, sides of the neck and chest area 3 times a day.

3. To boost immunity use 1 drop each of orange 橙tea tree茶樹niaouli 綠花白千層and cajeput 白千層to 10 ml of jojoba oil or any base oil. Massage near the throat, sides of the neck and chest area 3 times a day. Apply and massage the sole of your feet as needed.

4. To disinfect the air and room, add 5 drops each of clove 丁香cypress 絲柏, pine 松thyme 百里香and bay laurel 月桂to 30ml of filtered water or lavender water. Shake well and pump 2 times and spray the room. This amount can cover an area of 100-300 sq ft.
