Here are 3 common misconceptions about meditation.
Myth 1: Meditation has to be practiced in silence.
Meditation can be practiced when walking, running, humming or singing. The key is to transcend our stream of thoughts and focus our full attention on our breath.
Myth 2: Meditation is difficult.
Meditation is not as difficult as you may think. It is an act of setting the mind on an object of focus for a long duration.
Myth 3: Meditation is for clearing the mind.
While meditation may help remove noises & distractions, it helps us to achieve a deeper awareness of our mind at its most natural state.

You can make a commitment to drink tea first thing in the morning every day for one week as a moment of meditation.
- Each morning, find a quiet space and drink at least three bowls of tea in silence.
- Do not multi-task, just add few leaves in a bowl with some hot water.
- Sit and soak up the warmth, and create the tone of the day ahead.
