Helping you find the colours and styles that make you look and feel your best.

Every week, we are meeting more women who have embraced their natural grey hair, but feel as though they can no longer wear colour.

And so lots of them have started defaulting to beige, grey, black and other neutrals because they are unsure which shades still suit.

But grey hair does not mean giving up colour. In fact, wearing the right colours from your seasonal palette can look incredibly youthful, fresh and vibrant …while also complementing silver tones.

It is true that, as we age, we can lose some natural luminosity in the skin. Those with higher-chroma colouring, such as Bright Winters or Bright Springs, may find that they prefer to soften or slightly tone down some of their most vivid shades.

But your core colouring does not simply disappear. The colours within your palette will continue to harmonise with your skin, eyes and overall appearance, often bringing far more life to your face than muted neutrals.

If you’re a Summer, look for blushers with cool pink, rose, mauve or soft berry undertones 🌸

These shades echo the natural coolness in your colouring and give the skin a fresh, effortless flush. Coral, salmon, peach and other overly warm tones may look less harmonious against cool undertones, sometimes appearing heavy or slightly orange on the skin.

Light Summers suit softer, fresher pinks, True Summers can carry clearer cool rose, while Soft Summers look beautiful in muted mauve and dusty berry.

Save this for your next makeup shop 💗

A little summer reminder: your sandals can work with your seasonal palette too 🩴

Choosing the right shade makes them easier to wear with everything else in your wardrobe.. and helps your whole outfit feel more harmonious.

We hear time and time again from clients that they always default to black even though they know it doesn’t do them any favours and they’re bored to death of it! ☠️

OK, so we know black is easy, practical, widely available, and feels like a safe choice. However, Black is actually one of the hardest colours for most people to wear well.

Unless black sits naturally within your seasonal palette, it can appear heavy, draining, and draw attention to shadows, fine lines, and uneven skin tone. This is especially true if you have lighter colouring, lower contrast, or warm undertones.

Navy is often a much more flattering alternative. It still provides the depth and versatility we love from black, but tends to feel softer, more harmonious, and less overpowering against the skin.

If you love the sophistication of dark neutrals but find black makes you look tired, navy could be a simple switch for you. 👌🏻

How do you combine your favourite colours?🎨

Colour combinations can make an outfit feel effortlessly harmoniousor slightly off, even when all the individual pieces are fab.

A few simple tips:

✨ Start with your best neutrals (they’re the foundation of a great wardrobe).

✨ Keep the depth of the colours similar: light with light, deep with deep so it feels more balanced.

✨ Match the intensity I.e. soft colours tend to pair best with soft colours, bright colours with bright colours.

What’s your favourite colour combination? 👇

Nicole Kidman is a great example of someone with low contrast colouring.

While her hair and eyes may stand out individually, the overall difference between her skin, hair and features is relatively soft. This means she tends to look most harmonious in low to medium contrast outfits, makeup and hair colour.

Notice how soft monochromatic looks, blended colour combinations and gentle makeup enhance her. Nothing competes for attention. Her features remain the focus.

When contrast levels in clothing or makeup become too strong, our eyes are often drawn to the outfit before the person.

Colour analysis isn’t just about choosing the right colours — it’s also about understanding the level of contrast that naturally exists within your features and reflecting that in your styling choices.

Same woman. Same makeup. Same lighting. The only difference? Lipstick undertone.

One shade harmonises with her natural colouring. The other clashes with it.

This is why finding your best lipstick colours isn’t about whether you suit pink, red or n**e, it’s about finding the right version of those colours for you.
