My father is law , is a long term diabetic patient... Due to uncontrolled sugar, he is suffering from Diabetic foot which is v chronic and long term...
One fine day...he agreed to follow diet with me... We both went on to a low GI diet...with certain other diet combinations.
I used my culinary skills along with my clinical dietetics knowledge..to work things out...
He followed everything consistently putting in great efforts and will power...
And together we succeeded...
Please find below the before and after picture of his Daibetic Foot gangrene...
On the second toe he has gas gangerene the whole toe was previously black... Now there is some at the tip..
Below the thumb toe he has blister which was oozing pus and foul smelling fluid... Now it has dired up with no pus excretion at all.
This is what good nutrition and discipline can do... I feel really glad I could help him heal
These are just 1 month results... The journey continues....
I am amazed at this one month result of reversal as his ailment is long standing... If good nutrition can work on this... Imagine what it can do to simple , recent ailments ... If you just show some consistency and dedication.

Tips for eating right and staying healthy - This Diwali.
1.Keep a tight control on portions especially when variety of foods seems wellness.
2.Chew a gum when you feel there is too much food around you and you really want to avoid eating.
3.Make your own mithai at home using healthier ingredients and make them bite sized in portions.
4. When you have cravings to eating something unhealthy.... Drink a glass of water and take few deep breaths.
5. If any of your meals are too heavy .. make sure you get right back on track and make your other meals lighter and healthier.
6. Diwali is a time of get togethers and family bonding... Before going for a party make sure you don't go empty stomach... Eat a salad/ boiled chana/ egg/ soup .
7. Make wise choices.... Choose rasgulla over gulab jamun and dry fruits over fried foods
8... Continue on your workouts... Finish them first thing in the morning as you won't have time later.... During the day.. make sure to walk around more then sitting in one place.
9. Keep yourself hydrated... And remember to have alcohol in moderation.
10...Last but not the least.... Sleep well and stay refreshed...
