I think Gen Zs were wrong to protest against the Finance Bill in 2024. Many of us were incited and misadvised by politicians who wanted young people to go to the streets and die for political interests that were never ours. One of those politicians was Rigathi Gachagua. Today, I ask myself: how would removing William Ruto from power solve our problems, create jobs, or build roads? Removing Ruto would have pushed our country toward instability like Somalia. Gen Z, we were wrong. What happened led to many young people losing their lives, and sadly, many of them now seem forgotten. What surprises me most is that some of the same people who were in government are now telling us to chant “one term,” yet they are not clearly telling Kenyans why or what alternative they are offering.

5️⃣ Always be kind to customers, even the nagging ones. They might stress you today, but tomorrow they’ll bring five referrals.

6️⃣ Don’t overstock because you “think it will move.” If it doesn’t move, it will sit there judging you daily like a mother-in-law. 🤷🏽‍♀️

7️⃣ Separate business money from your personal money. Otherwise, you’ll eat profit with chips and soda then start shouting “market is bad.” 😭

8️⃣ Don’t rely on friends and family to support your business. Strangers will buy full price while your cousin is still asking for discounts and still not buy even at discounted price 😅

9️⃣ Learn to say NO. Not every idea or “favor” is worth risking your capital. Protect your peace and your pocket. 💰

🔟 Customer service is your secret weapon. A smile, a kind word, quick response.....it builds loyalty faster than posters and fliers. 😊
