Main fertilizers for vegetables & how to apply (short description):
Vegetables need three main nutrients: Nitrogen (N), Phosphorus (P), and Potassium (K).
Compost / Organic manure – Improves soil and provides nutrients.
👉 Apply before planting and mix well with the soil.
Urea (Nitrogen fertilizer) – Helps leaf growth.
👉 Apply small amounts around the plant after 1–2 weeks of planting.
TSP (Triple Super Phosphate) – Helps root development.
👉 Apply at the time of planting and mix with soil.
MOP (Muriate of Potash) – Improves fruit quality.
👉 Apply during flowering and fruiting stages.
Application method:
Apply fertilizers around the base of the plant (not too close to the stem), then cover with soil and water properly.
