Today, AMMnet Liberia proudly joins hands with the National Malaria Control Program (NMCP) and partners across the country to commemorate World Malaria Day.

As we continue our collaboration with NMCP, we reaffirm our shared commitment to reducing the burden of malaria in Liberia—especially among vulnerable populations such as children under five and pregnant women. Together, we are strengthening community awareness, improving access to prevention tools, and promoting early diagnosis and effective treatment.

This World Malaria Day, we call on all Liberians to play their part:
• Sleep under insecticide-treated mosquito nets
• Seek prompt testing and treatment for fever
• Support community-led malaria prevention efforts

Through strong partnerships and collective action, we can move closer to a malaria-free Liberia.

We are pleased to share the success of our recent engagement with students and faculty of the University of Liberia, held in collaboration with AMMnet Liberia and Quantitative Data for Decision-Making (Q4D).
The meeting brought together enthusiastic students and dedicated faculty members from the Departments of Statistics, Biology, and Public Health, creating a vibrant platform for knowledge exchange and collaboration. Discussions focused on the importance of malaria modeling, the role of data-driven decision-making in malaria control and elimination, and opportunities for students and faculty to engage in applied research, training, and mentorship through the AMMnet network.
The level of engagement, insightful questions, and strong interest from both students and faculty reaffirm the University of Liberia’s critical role in advancing research and innovation in public health in Liberia.
We look forward to building on this momentum and strengthening this collaboration to support local expertise, impactful research, and evidence-based malaria policy in Liberia.
Our sincere appreciation goes to the Chairman of the TJR Faulkner College of Science and Technology, Mathematics and Statistics Department, Dr. Melvin Kollie, as well as Prince Maroe and Mulbah Kromah, for their coordination and collaboration.
Special thanks also to the student leadership of the Statistics Department for their support and networking efforts—particularly the S.G. , Mohammed Kromah—for helping to make this engagement a success.
