B**g County: # & MIA Commences Training For County Officials, Technicians On Project Planning & CDA Implementation In B**g
The Ministry of Finance and Development Planning, in partnership with the Ministry of Internal Affairs, has commenced a four-day workshop focused on enhancing the capacity of county officials and technicians in project planning and County Development Agenda (CDA) implementation in Gbarnga, B**g County.
D. Emmanuel Williams, Director for Public Investment Unit at the Ministry of Finance and Development Planning said the initiative aims to improve the effectiveness of local governance and development initiatives.
He further emphasized that the workshop is a collaborative effort between the two ministries, indicating a coordinated approach to strengthening local governance and development.
The workshop, which is being held in Gbarnga, targets key personnel involved in the planning and executing projects at the county level.
Mr. Williams said the workshop is designed to equip participants with the necessary skills and knowledge to effectively develop and implement the County Development Agenda, a crucial framework for local development.
In addition, he stated that the Ministry of Finance and Development Planning and the Ministry of Internal Affairs are jointly leading this effort, signifying a collaborative approach to strengthening local governance.
The workshop will cover various aspects of project planning and CDA implementation, ensuring a comprehensive approach to capacity building, roles and responsibilities of local leaders in project selection, planning, and delivery.
Mr. Williams, at the same time, challenged the participants to take the training seriously, on grounds that it will improve their work in their various Counties.
The participants of the training are being drawn from Grand Kru, Nimba, Lofa, Maryland, Grand Gedeh, Margibi, and B**g, among others.
The ceremony is being attended by Sidiki A. Quisia of the UN, Edward K. Mulbah, Deputy Minister at the Internal Affairs, D. Emmanuel Williams, Director for Public Investment Unit of the Ministry of Finance and Development Planning.

Obituary announcement!!!
We regret to announce the death of Dr. Theodore V. K. Brown Sr, who died on the 12th of August 2025.
Dr. Brown was an educator and a mentor to his children, family members, and many others who crossed his path. He served as Vice President for Academic Affairs and several other positions at the Cuttington University.....
He devoted his services as an employee of Cuttington University for 32 unbroken years.
He leaves to mourn his
1. Wife, Mrs. Oretha K. Brown
2. His children
A. Frederick H.V.K Brown, Famata Beyah Brown, Fredrestine Brown, Joyce Tenneh Brown Lape, Satta T. Kamara, Stephen Ofei, Gladys Ofei, Clarence Brown, Clarencia Brown, and Theodore V.K Brown Jr.
His Foster Children, Roland Ballah, David Walker, Daniel Flomo, and J. Kelvin Fallah.
3. His sister (Sando M. Brown), grandchildren, great grandchildren, cousins, neices, nephews , and other relatives in and out of Liberia.
The first general family meeting is slated for Sunday, August 17, 2025, at the decease residence in plumkor, Berwerville.
