Malawi is experiencing floods more frequently, forests are disappearing, wetlands are being converted into housing estates, and cities are becoming hotter. Climate change is no longer a future threat, it's a present reality. But who's measuring accountability?

We have policies, laws, and climate commitments, but without structured monitoring and enforcement, climate responsibility remains optional.

Introducing the Global Climate Accountability Council – Malawi (GCAC-MW)! 🚀

GCAC-MW is a professional, evidence-based institution focused on one core principle: Development must include climate responsibility. We're not a protest movement, not political, and not anti-development.

WHAT WE AIM TO DO:

- Monitor climate integration in public projects
- Protect wetlands and forests
- Develop a Climate Accountability Index for councils
- Introduce digital transparency tools (ClimateWatch Malawi)
- Advocate for climate justice and fair energy transition
- Strengthen enforcement through lawful mechanisms

Climate change is not only environmental, it's economic, social, and generational. If we build without accountability, we build future disasters.

The purpose of GCAC-MW is simple: To ensure development today doesn't become climate debt tomorrow. This is about responsibility, systems, and the next generation.

History will not forgive hesitation and weakness!
