This year is all about VISIBILITY! 💛
Over the last few years, Knotty Opulence has grown far beyond "just doing hair."
What began as styling has become education, transformation, community building, and helping people build healthier relationships with their hair.
Because of that growth, I'm excited to share that I am now listed on Airbnb Experiences, making it possible for visitors to Mérida to book with me through a globally recognized platform and experience my work in a whole new way.
This new season also comes with some important changes.
Due to ongoing health considerations and other professional opportunities that are opening for me, I am becoming even more intentional about how I spend my time behind the chair. For the longevity of both my career and my body, I am no longer accepting new clients outside of my membership and hair care programs.
My membership model allows me to provide the level of care, consistency, and results that I believe healthy hair truly requires, while also creating a sustainable schedule that supports my health and my family.

When was the last time you had a detox? Detoxing should be done twice a year minimum, as I prefer once a quarter. Dead skin, sweat, dirt and product builds up over time. As you can see in this video client doesn't use product but once the acv, baking soda and citrus come together the results don't lie. After the hair is clean a steam treatment with the micromist steamer is necessary to restore moisture to the strands that we just stripped of everything. Is it time for a detox?

This journey is one I’m honored to share!
My client had locs when she first trusted me with her crown. When she combed out her locs herself, she came right back for braids,wanting to enjoy that length. I supported her every step.
But yesterday was the day she was ready to let go of the damage from that process,hydration lost, ends needing love.
When she was ready, she trusted me to bring her a fresh, healthy cut revealing soft, vibrant hair.

This 💎 requested two strands twists with large loops and twists on the side. This look is versatile and can be worn in a lochawk as you can see. I love when clients bring me styles 😍
Its silk press season, but the weather is funky, depending on the maintenance of your hair will determine how far your silk press with go....watch the process...we did a trim that part I forgot to record. It is freezing in Merida but it was just HOT🔥 🥵 on Sunday
