🌿Eucalyptus: what’s the deal with the 3 different types?🌿
⠀⠀
Every season is Eucalyptus season! It’s one of those oils I’m always thankful that I have it when I need it, but also one of those oils I’ve come to appreciate far beyond the Winter season woes. It’s incredibly energizing and smells like a spa day. The first time I went to order it, I was so confused why there was 3 different ones and didn’t know which to choose! I hope this helps you when deciding!
⠀⠀
Eucalyptus has a fresh, invigorating scent that is wonderful for respiratory support and also promotes health, well-being, and purification. Eucalyptus oil is also a great choice for sore muscles and is found in the OrthoEase and OrthoSport massage oils. It is also a cleansing oil and is great for laundry and cleaning.
⠀⠀
There are more than 700 species of Eucalyptus. Most of them are in Australia and eucalyptus makes up 75% of Australian vegetation. Each variety offers unique benefits and different aromatic profiles.
⠀⠀
🌿Eucalyptus Blue: grown in Ecuador and is used by natives for repelling insects and covering wounds. Eucalyptus blue has a very herbaceous and spicy aroma which is great for respiratory support. It is found in the Breathe Again roll-on.
⠀⠀
🌿Eucalyptus Globulus: grown in China and is wonderful for respiratory support and soothing sore muscles. It has a bold and rich aroma and is found in the OrthoEase and OrthoSport massage oils, the Breathe Again roll-on, and the oil blend RC.
⠀⠀
🌿Eucalyptus Radiata: grown in Australia and has a striking, citrusy scent. This species of Eucalyptus has been treasured in folk medicine for centuries and used by natives for many immune supporting purposes. Eucalyptus radiata is found in Thieves oil and Raven oil blends. I love the citrus aroma of Radiata when I need afternoon energy boost.
Thanks to for this great post!

Q: Which essential oils stain? A: Though pure essential oils don’t leave an oily spot, a handful of oils can leave a stain due to the naturally occurring darker or yellowish coloring from the original botanicals. So be careful using these essential oils around your favorite white layering tee or Grandma’s heirloom linens.
Oils that stain due to a natural dark color:
Blue Tansy
Jasmine
German Chamomile
Oils that stain due to a natural yellow color *The yellowish color fades, but you’ll still want to avoid using it around your whites.
Patchouli
Vetiver
Myrrh
Tangerine
Q: How can these essential oils stain?
A: Applying any of these oils directly on white fabric will leave a stain—which is okay if you’re trying a new tie-dye project. If tinting your t-shirt isn’t the plan, avoid doing the following with these oils:
Applying directly to the skin and then putting on clothes before the oil absorbs
Adding to your laundry
Spilling on clothes or other fabrics
Q: How can I use the darker-colored oils?
A: While it’s true that these essential oils have potential to stain, their bottles are full of powerful benefits. If used with care, you—not your clothes—will be golden! Here are a few ways you can use darker-colored oils:
Add a drop of Blue Tansy to your moisturizer to dilute its color and help reduce the appearance of blemishes.
Diffuse Jasmine to fill your home with a rich, sultry aroma.
Combine German Chamomile with our V-6TM Vegetable Oil Complex to enhance your massage.
Make a set of DIY bathtub crayons that double as soap.
FYI, these may stain your diffuser depending on the oil and the amount you use. Be sure to clean your diffuser after each use; check out this post for some helpful tips!

It’s no secret: Essential oils have many great health benefits. Here are three essential oils you should have on hand every day. 📅
💚 Peppermint is a cheerleader oil for its fresh and uplifting features. It’s especially handy to perk up midday slumps. Just pop the bottle lid and breathe in its crisp, minty scent.
❤️ Thieves add a little spice while you keep everything nice and clean. Diffuse for a warm, clean aroma and add drops to your laundry and detergent for a refreshing scent.
💜 Lavender is a powerhouse essential oil for good reason. Just the scent alone is nice to have at all times. It can also add a feminine touch when infused in unscented lotion, create a sweet refreshing scent when sprayed or diffused, and soothe skin irritations when mixed with aloe vera gel.
