OTORO WARD 1 DECLARES MASSIVE SUPPORT FOR GOVERNOR UMO ENO AT GOVERNORSHIP PRIMARIES

Earlier today, May 21, 2026, the men, women, and youths of Otoro Ward 1 turned out massively at the ward centre to demonstrate overwhelming support for the performing and peace-loving Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Pastor Umo Eno, PhD, during the just-concluded governorship primaries election. The exercise was peaceful, orderly, and a true reflection of the unity and political strength of the ward.

Speaking during the event, the APC Ward Chairman, Mr. Uduak Effiong, expressed appreciation to party faithful, stakeholders, and supporters for their impressive turnout. He described the massive support for Governor Umo Eno as a clear indication of the people’s confidence in his leadership and commitment to the progress of Akwa Ibom State ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The APC Chapter Chairman of Abak Local Government Area, Otuekong Ofonmbuk Anaka, also commended the people of Otoro Ward 1 for their show of love and solidarity. He praised Governor Umo Eno for promoting peace, unity, and sustainable development across the state, especially in Abak Local Government Area, while assuring the people that the Governor remains committed to delivering more dividends of democracy.

In his remarks, the Personal Assistant to the Governor on Grassroots Mobilization, Elder Solomon George, appreciated the people of the ward for their unwavering support for the Governor. The Political Leader of Otoro Clan, Rt. Hon. Hon. Elder Udeme Otong, on his well-deserved victory in the just-concluded APC State House of Assembly Primary Election.

He described the victory as a clear demonstration of the confidence, trust, and overwhelming support the people continue to repose in the leadership capacity and service of Rt. Hon. Elder Udeme Otong. According to him, the outcome of the primaries reflects the unity, strength, and growing popularity of the APC across the constituency.

He described the victory as a clear reflection of the confidence and trust the people have in the leadership capacity and political experience of the Senate President.

Elder Iwok commended the loyal APC faithful in Otoro Wards 1, 2, and 3 for their massive turnout and unwavering support, which led to the emergence of Senator Godswill Akpabio as the sole APC candidate for the Akwa Ibom North-West Senatorial District. He noted that the overwhelming support demonstrated the unity, strength, and commitment of party members toward ensuring the return of Senator Akpabio to the Senate and his continued leadership as the Senate President in the 11th Senate.

“Where peace and unity reign, progress becomes inevitable.” The purposeful leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Senator Godswill Akpabio, and Governor Umo Eno continues to foster harmony, inclusiveness, and political stability across Akwa Ibom State.

Earlier today, Wednesday, May 13, 2026, Rt. Hon. Obong (Dr.) Friday Iwok, Ujo Annang, a distinguished two-term former Member of the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly, joined other prominent stakeholders, ward executives, and party faithful across Abak Local Government Area for a stakeholders’ meeting held at the Abak Local Government Council Hall.

During the meeting, stakeholders and party faithful unanimously resolved to mobilize support and secure victory in the 2027 general elections for the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu; the President of the Senate, Senator Godswill Obot Akpabio, GCON; the Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Pastor Umo Eno, PhD; the Member representing Abak/Etim Ekpo/Ika Federal Constituency, Hon. Clement Jimbo; and the Speaker of the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Elder Udeme Otong.

The motion for the endorsement was moved by the Political Leader of Otoro Clan, Rt. Hon. Obong (Dr.) Friday Iwok, and seconded by the Leader of the 8th Abak Legislative Council, Hon. Xavier Timothy Titus, reaffirming the collective commitment of the people to unity, continuity, and sustainable development in Akwa Ibom State.
