Sharing valuable information to build up a total woman.

Hauwa loved the sound of running water at dawn.
The clinking of plates.
The smell of fresh stew simmering gently on the stove.

Every morning, she swept the house with pride, arranged the pillows carefully, and made sure her husband never lacked a warm meal. People praised her often.

“Hauwa is such a good wife.”

And she smiled every time she heard it.

But late at night, when the house became quiet and everyone slept, she would sit alone beside the window and stare into the dark.

Because deep down, she knew something was missing.

Before marriage, Hauwa was full of dreams.
She loved writing.
She wanted to build a business.
She wanted to mentor young girls someday.

But slowly, without realizing it, she had replaced every dream with chores.

Not because chores were bad.
But because they gave instant satisfaction.

A clean kitchen felt productive.
Folded clothes felt like accomplishment.
Cooking three meals daily felt like purpose.

Meanwhile, the deeper work — reading, learning, building skills, discovering herself again — felt harder. Mental work demanded patience. Growth demanded intentionality.

So she avoided it.

Until one afternoon, during a visit from an older woman she admired, Hauwa heard words that shook her deeply:

“Marriage should not bury the woman God created you to be.”

That sentence stayed with her for weeks.

Gradually, Hauwa started changing small things.
She still cared for her home lovingly.
But now, she also made time to read.
To learn.
To pray intentionally.
To build her ideas.
To rediscover herself beyond domestic routines.

And for the first time in years, she felt alive again.

Her home became happier too — not because the chores increased, but because she became whole again.

Moral Lessons:

✓ Domestic responsibilities are important, but they should not consume your identity.

✓ A fulfilled woman builds both her home and herself.

✓ Mental growth is just as important as physical productivity.

✓ Marriage is not the end of purpose; it is another platform for purpose.

Now tell me honestly…

Have you ever felt like you were so busy being “a good wife” that you slowly stopped being yourself?

Or do you think women should focus fully on the home once they get married?

I really want to hear your thoughts.
