HRH Crown Prince John K. Emebo has commended the Federal Government of Nigeria for its recent directive banning the export of raw Shea nuts. According to the Crown Prince, this long-awaited policy is a welcome development that will accelerate the growth of local processing capabilities within Nigeria’s Shea butter industry.
The Crown Prince, who is also the CEO of Kings Shea Butter, stated:

The goal is to establish Shea butter as a superior, chemical-free, natural alternative to conventional emollients in treating skin barrier disorders such as eczema, psoriasis, and chronic dry, scaly skin.
Internationally, Kings Shea Butter is also in talks with Applied Bioscience Research in Dublin to expand these studies.
The Crown Prince concluded by reaffirming his support for the government’s initiative, noting that this policy will create more jobs, boost local industries, and position Nigeria as a global leader in the refined Shea butter market.
