What to Do When You’re Craving Noodles (As a Diabetic)

1.⁠ ⁠Pause and Ask Yourself: Is This Physical or Emotional Hunger?

Cravings often come from boredom, stress, or habit — not true hunger. Drink water, take a short walk, or delay for 10–15 minutes to see if the urge passes.



2.⁠ ⁠Know Why Regular Instant Noodles Are a Problem
• High in refined carbs and simple starches
• Loaded with sodium, preservatives, and MSG
• Low in fiber and protein
This combo spikes blood sugar and increases insulin resistance — the opposite of what your body needs.



✅ Smart Alternatives to Try

🔹 A. Replace with Healthier Swallow or Stir-Fry Options:
• Stir-fried cabbage or zucchini strips (“Zoodles”) with spices
• Unripe plantain noodles (if available)
• Small portion of oat or unripe plantain swallow with soup

A simple guide to help you take charge of your health naturally

Insulin is the hormone that helps move sugar (glucose) from your blood into your cells for energy.
Insulin resistance happens when your cells stop responding properly to insulin. As a result, your body makes more insulin, and blood sugar stays high.

Signs may include:
• Tiredness after eating
• Sugar cravings
• Belly fat
• High blood sugar (pre-diabetes or type 2 diabetes)

✅ Lifestyle fixes:
• Reduce sugary and processed foods
• Eat fiber-rich Nigerian meals (e.g. beans, okra, vegetables)

Blood pressure is the force of your blood pushing against your artery walls.
