🩸 “Why Is She Bleeding During S£x?” A Truth Many Women Are Afraid to Say Out Loud
A man came to my inbox last night and said:
"Nurse Precious, we don make love like 3–4 times now and my woman still dey bleed… she no be virgin o. Wetin dey happen?"
My dear sisters and brothers, let me say this clearly:
👉 Bleeding during s£x is NOT normal.
👉 Bleeding after virginity is NOT normal.
👉 And it is not a sign of “tightness” or “sweetness.”
Here are the real reasons a woman may bleed during in*******se:
✔️ She is dry 👍maybe she’s stressed, not relaxed, or not ready.
✔️ She has an infection 👍BV, yeast, or untreated STIs.
✔️ Her cervix is inflamed or she has a small growth.
✔️ He is going too hard without giving her time to get wet.
✔️ It can even be an early sign of cervical cancer.
My dear women, your body is not meant to bleed during intimacy.
My dear men, if she bleeds more than once, don’t ignore it. Encourage her to get checked.
Please do the right thing:
💛 Go for a pelvic exam.
💛 Do a vaginal swab.
💛 Do cervical screening.
💛 Stop self-medication.
Your health is too precious to joke with.
As a nurse, I just want you to stay safe, informed, and healthy. ❤️

🌟 Teen Talk with Nurse Precious
Let’s Talk About Peer Pressure “Everybody Is Doing It”
👧🏽 “Aunty Nurse, my friends are all having boyfriends and doing things. They say I’m too slow. Is something wrong with me?”
Dear Teen,
There’s nothing wrong with you if you’re not following the crowd.
You’re not boring. You’re not backward. You’re not weird.
You’re just wise.
You’re choosing to walk in purpose not pressure.
💭 Real Talk:
Peer pressure is when you feel forced to do what others are doing so they don’t laugh at you, gossip you, or leave you behind.
It can push you into early s*x, lying, bad habits, or fake lifestyle just to feel among.
But guess what? Most of the people pressuring you are also scared and lost inside.
💡 Be Different On Purpose:
✅ Say NO even if it means standing alone
✅ Remember: your future is not a group project
✅ It’s okay to be the only virgin in your class
✅ It’s okay to be focused while others play around
✅ It’s okay to say, “I don’t want to do that”
Because later in life, the same people who laughed at you will wish they had your kind of discipline.
👩⚕️ From Nurse Precious:
As a nurse, I’ve seen teens who made decisions just to impress others and ended up with regrets that could’ve been avoided.
Some got pregnant.
Some got STDs.
Some got broken emotionally.
All because they wanted to be “cool.”
My darling, “cool” is not what they say you are.
Cool is when you know who you are and walk in it with confidence. 💯
🫶 To Parents:
Your child needs you to affirm them before the world confuses them
Don’t just say “don’t do it” explain why
Create a home where they can say, “Mummy, someone asked me to do this…” without fear
Start teaching them that saying NO is power, not weakness
BEFOFE YOU GET MARRIED
Do these tests:
1. Genotype test
2. Blood group test
3. HIV test
4. Hepatitis B and C tests
5. Syphilis test
6. Gonorrhea and chlamydia tests
7. Fertility test (semen analysis, hormonal test)
8. Mental health check
9. Blood sugar test
10. Tuberculosis (TB) screening

🩸 PROLONGED MENSTRUAL BLEEDING BUT YOUR SCAN IS NORMAL? READ THIS.
My dear ladies, many of you have been running to me with the same complaint:
“Nurse Precious, I have been bleeding for long but my scan result is normal. What is happening to me?”
Let me explain it in a very simple way 👇
When your pelvic scan is normal, it means:
✅ Your womb is fine
✅ Your ovaries are fine
✅ No cyst
✅ No fibroid
✅ No pregnancy
✅ No leftover tissue in your womb
So why are you still bleeding?
Most times, it is something we call DYSFUNCTIONAL UTERINE BLEEDING (DUB) – which simply means your hormones are misbehaving even though your womb is okay.
This is the number one cause of long or irregular bleeding in women.
Common causes include:
✅Hormonal imbalance
✅ Stress
✅Weight changes
✅ After childbirth or miscarriage
✅ Thyroid problems
✅ After stopping or starting birth control
✅ Some infections
What should you do if your scan is normal but bleeding continues?
You need further evaluation, which means doing more tests.
A scan cannot show everything.
The tests you need include:
🔹 Hormonal test (FSH, LH, Prolactin, Progesterone, Estrogen, TSH)
🔹 Full Blood Count (to check for anemia)
🔹 Pregnancy test (just to be sure)
🔹 Infection screening (if you have discharge, pain or odor)
Once the cause is found, treatment is very simple, and your bleeding can stop within days.
Ladies, please don’t panic.
A normal scan is already good news ❤️
It only means we need to check your hormones and treat you properly.
If you are experiencing prolonged bleeding, don’t ignore it.
Your health matters.
