Distilled some frankincense and frankincense bark today at the scent design Nigeria laboratory.

The bark smoke is turned into a liquid and blended with the oil from the frankincense tears.

The smokey incense like oil is pungent and lingering. Used a lot in oriental fragrances, Frankincense gets it's name from two words " frank" meaning original and incense.. it's normally referred to as the " original incense"

Dating back to biblical times, it's scent is both familiar yet intriguing.

A Short fragrance story by Abayomi Lambo..

Title: "I smelled you in the Elevator"

"I smelled you in the elevator" she said... Dora worked at a bank somewhere in the middle of Lagos.

That morning she had been late, having left her house a tad later than usual, then finding herself in the unforgiving Lagos traffic.

As she hurried into the banking hall, she caught a whiff of the most smooth, masculine yet sweet fragrance she had smelled in a while..

"Come and meet our New client, Dora" Mr Fola her boss said. "Good morning sirs " she said then just as she opened her mouth to say more to this handsome guy beside her boss, her nose tuned into the fragrance that came from him .. " "goodness"!! she exclaimed" I already smelled you in the elevator!!"...

"The name is LUXEON " his smile as appealing as the fragrance he had on ...

I like adding tumeric powder to my milk every morning... This morning just recovering from malaria yet having to get to the office... This lovely heart shaped froth appeared in the mug..made me feel special.... I'm sending this to YOU just to make your day special... You are loved!

Every day Scent Design, is expanding it's frontiers.

Picture shows a corporate client's Olibanum drops ( AKA Frankincense) or tears as they are more common known. Harvested from a farm here in Nigeria.

They will be burnt, turned into smoke and then the smoke under pressure in our lab turned into the frankincense oil.

The exquisite oil is then used in a formulation for the client's brand.

Frankincense is famously mentioned in the bible as one of the three exquisite gifts given to Jesus during his early days on earth.

Frankincense is a versatile ingredient in perfumery:

1. *Fixative*: Stabilizes fragrances, preventing top notes from fading.
2. *Base note*: Adds depth, warmth, and longevity to scents.
3. *Accord*: Blends with other ingredients to create unique fragrances.
