Something that has really been on my mind lately.

A lot of ladies you ask where they stay, they’ll say Jaba in Kano State.
And if you know Jaba, you know the rent there is not small at all,sometimes I just sit and wonder quietly.

How are they able to pay such rent,I am just curious to know,indeed girls are taking over.

It was a Monday evening, I went to church just to clear my head and have a quiet moment with God.

I was standing there minding my business,when I suddenly heard someone say,
Helen the content creator,i turned immediately.
Like,excuse me,Who is calling me that in church?

I honestly thought i was dreaming, so I asked him,How do you know I create content and he smiled and started explaining.

He said he saw one of my posts online,the one I made about my compound and how his colleague had liked it,i just stood there quietly listening.

Because in that moment, something clicked in my head,people are actually seeing these things I post,not just seeing it but remembering it and also talking about it.

Meanwhile, me, I’m just in my room with my phone, posting, editing, overthinking captions, wondering if anybody is even reading anything.

Life has a funny way of showing you that impact doesn’t always look loud at first,sometimes it starts quietly,with strangers recognizing your name in unexpected places.

I smiled, but inside I was shocked a bit,because it reminded me that consistency is not always immediately rewarded but it is definitely noticed,every post,every story,every random content I almost deleted because I felt no one will see this,Someone is actually seeing it.

And slowly, people are starting to recognize me in real life too,anyways… I don’t know how we got here,but at this point,I think we are done with small recognition.

If they are going to recognize me, let it not be only in church let it be global abeg,from my small room to the world.
