Cyclosporine is a powerful immunosuppressant used in cases of organ transplantation to prevent organ rejection and in certain auto-immune diseases.

Cyclosporine can cause extensive drug induced gingival enlargement.

This is a case occurring in a 61 year-old female patient on cyclosporine for an autoimmune condition affecting the kidney.

Adequate plaque control and oral hygiene measures can help control the hyperplasia. In severe cases, medically supervised shifting to other medications can help resolve the condition ( not applicable in this particular case).
