AN OPEN LETTER TO THE LEADERSHIP OF APC AND THE GOVERNOR OF KANO STATE

Your Excellency,
Engr. Abba Kabir Yusuf
The Executive Governor of Kano State,
Respected Leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC),

We write this open letter with deep concern and sincere disappointment over the failure to recognize and reward loyalty, sacrifice, and unwavering commitment within our great party.

For years, His Excellency Abdussalam Abdulkarim popularly known as AA Zaura, has stood firmly with the APC through difficult and victorious moments alike. His dedication to the growth of the party, empowerment of the youth, support for the less privileged, and contributions to the development of Kano State are visible for all to see.

AA Zaura has consistently invested his time, resources, influence, and political strength in defending and promoting the APC across Kano Central and beyond. At a time when many politicians only appear during election periods, he remained active among the people, supporting communities, empowering party loyalists, and strengthening the image of the APC at the grassroots level.

It is therefore painful and discouraging that such a committed and deserving personality could be overlooked when discussions concerning the Senatorial seat arise. Leadership should always reward loyalty, competence, sacrifice, and proven service to the people. Ignoring individuals who have genuinely labored for the success of the party sends the wrong signal to supporters and young politicians who believe hard work and dedication should be recognized.

The people of Kano know the impact of AA Zaura. They know his generosity, accessibility, and commitment to development. They know his contributions towards youth empowerment, economic support, and party mobilization. Many party faithful strongly believe that he deserves fair consideration for the Senatorial seat because he has earned it through years of sacrifice and service.

This letter is not written to create division within the APC, but rather to call for justice, fairness, and political inclusiveness. A strong political party grows by appreciating those who stand by it faithfully and by giving capable individuals the opportunity to serve.

We respectfully urge the leadership of APC and the Kano State Government to carefully reconsider the concerns and feelings of party supporters who believe AA Zaura remains one of the most qualified and deserving personalities for higher political responsibility.

May wisdom, justice, and unity continue to guide the affairs of our great party and Kano State.
