STOP SELF-MEDICATING 🙅📌

That headache, stomach pain, or cough may seem minor, but treating yourself without knowing the real cause can do more harm than good.

Self-medication can:

❌ Hide serious health problems
❌ Cause harmful side effects
❌ Damage organs over time
❌ Lead to antibiotic resistance
❌ Delay proper treatment

Just because a medicine worked before doesn't mean it's the right solution today.

Don't do a guess work when it comes to your health. Get the right diagnosis and treatment.
Your body is sending a message.....so make sure you're listening, not just silencing the symptom. Find out what's causing them.
The right diagnosis can save you from a bigger health problem later✨

FOODS THAT CAN HELP FIGHT TIREDNESS NATURALLY

Feeling tired all the time is not always because you need more sleep. Sometimes, your body may simply need the right nutrients.

Some foods that can help boost your energy levels include:
✅ Bananas – Rich in natural sugars and potassium that provide quick energy.
✅ Eggs – Packed with protein and nutrients that help keep you energized for longer.
✅ Oats – Release energy slowly, helping you avoid sudden energy crashes.
✅ Nuts (groundnuts, almonds, cashews) – Contain healthy fats, protein, and minerals that support energy production.
✅ Beans – A great source of complex carbohydrates and iron, which help reduce fatigue.
✅ Watermelon and oranges – Help prevent dehydration, a common cause of tiredness.
✅ Leafy green vegetables – Contain iron and vitamins that support healthy blood circulation and energy levels.

Many people reach for energy drinks when they feel tired, but sometimes a balanced diet, enough water, and proper sleep can do more for your body.💚

WHY YOU SHOULD NEVER IGNORE FREQUENT HEADACHES....

Headaches are very common, but frequent headaches are not something you should simply brush aside.

Many people take painkillers and move on with their day without asking why the headaches keep coming back. While some headaches may be caused by stress, dehydration, lack of sleep, or hunger, recurring headaches can sometimes be your body's way of signaling that something is wrong.

Frequent headaches may be linked to high blood pressure, vision problems, migraines, sinus issues, infections, excessive screen time, or other underlying health conditions that require attention.

If you find yourself experiencing headaches regularly, don't just keep treating the pain. Pay attention to the pattern:
How often does it occur?
How severe is it?
Are there other symptoms accompanying it?

Your body speaks before it screams.
Ignoring persistent headaches may delay the diagnosis and treatment of an underlying problem.

If headaches are becoming a regular part of your life, it may be time to consult a healthcare professional for proper diagnosis and evaluation.

Don't normalize what your body is trying to warn you about.🧏

HERE IS WHY HAND WASHING IS MORE POWERFUL THAN YOU THINK

Most people think hand washing is just a routine habit. But the truth is, your hands touch hundreds of surfaces every single day.....door handles, phones, money, keyboards, tables, keys and countless other objects carrying germs you can't even see(microorganisms).

Now imagine touching your eyes, nose, mouth, or food without washing your hands first. That's one of the easiest ways bacteria and viruses find their way into your body.

A simple 20-second hand wash with soap and clean running water can help reduce the spread of infections, stomach illnesses, colds, flu, and many other diseases. It's one of the cheapest and most effective health practices available to everyone.

What's interesting is that many people spend money treating illnesses that could have been prevented by something as simple as just washing your hands and keeping good hygiene.

So the next time you're about to eat, prepare food, or you return home from outside, don't underestimate the power of washing your hands🤲

Sometimes, one small habit can make a big difference to your health. ✨🩵

SIMPLE MISTAKES YOU MAKE BEFORE SLEEPING THAT ARE SECRETLY AFFECTING YOUR HEALTH 😴🌌🌠

Some nighttime habits may seem harmless, but they can affect your sleep quality and even your overall health.

⚠️ Sleeping too late regularly
⚠️ Using your phone for hours in bed
⚠️ Eating heavy meals late at night
⚠️ Sleeping immediately after eating
⚠️ Drinking too much caffeine before bedtime
⚠️ Ignoring stress and overthinking at night
⚠️ Sleeping without enough water during the day
⚠️ Watching bright screens immediately before sleep

Good sleep is just as important as good food and exercise. Your body needs proper rest to recover and function well. Most people use up their whole energy during the day to work and instead of getting rest at night to regain the energy back, they stay busy doing things that will neither heal them or improve their lives. Eventually, the body gets exhausted from never fully recovering.Rest is not laziness ....it is the simple process through which your body and mind gets to recharge themselves.

A healthy night routine can make a big difference in your energy, mood, and health. 💯🌙✨

GOOD SLEEP= GOOD ENERGY AND GOOD LIFE😊

HERE'S WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU SKIP BREAKFAST EVERY MORNING 👀

Skipping breakfast every day might seem harmless, especially when you are rushing out in the morning but your body notices it more than you think.

Breakfast is called the first fuel of the day for a reason. After spending hours asleep without food, your body wakes up needing energy. When you skip breakfast constantly, your blood sugar can drop, leaving you feeling weak, tired, dizzy, or unable to concentrate properly. That morning headache or lack of energy some people complain about can sometimes be linked to not eating early enough.

Another thing people don’t realize is that skipping breakfast can make you overeat later in the day. By afternoon, you may start craving sugary snacks, soft drinks, or heavy meals because your body is trying to quickly replace the energy it missed earlier. Over time, this habit can affect weight, digestion, and even your overall health.

Skipping breakfast can also reduce focus and productivity. Imagine trying to run a generator without fuel....... that’s almost how the brain feels when it has gone too long without food🥺.

Now, this doesn’t mean breakfast has to be something expensive or stressful. Even something simple like pap and bread, oats, fruits, tea and egg, or leftovers like rice, beans, spaghetti can help your body start the day than nothing at all.

Your body works hard for you every day, so when you wake up in the morning before you start your day, always remember that breakfast equals to healthy living. Your body deserves some love❤️

When the nurse says, Don’t worry, it’s just a small prick 😭🤣🤣💉

Immediately, you start asking unnecessary questions:

Which hand is better?
Will it pain me?
Are you sure you can see the vein? 😂
What if I don't take the injection? 😅
How are we going to do it now ehn?🙆

And somehow, once the needle comes out, everybody suddenly becomes serious 😭 like nothing happened

Some people will look away.
Some will close their eyes tightly.
Some will start praying quietly 😂

Meanwhile the nurse is just there wondering why you’re panicking over a “small prick” 😭

Honestly, hospital bravery is not easy oo 😂
Hmm I dey tell you, no be child's play

Do you agree or disagree? 👀

"PLEASE DON'T WAIT UNTIL YOUR CONDITION BECOMES CRITICAL BEFORE SEEKING HELP".

A little girl had been sick since the previous night.

By morning, she was still unwell, but her parents thought it wasn’t serious yet. They kept trying home remedies and decided to wait.

As the day went on, her condition became worse.

Towards evening, she could no longer talk properly or move on her own. She had to be carried before they finally rushed her to the nearest health center.

At that point, it had already become an emergency.

And because the health center was a primary facility, they had to refer her to a general hospital farther away for proper emergency management.

The painful part?

If she had been brought earlier, treatment could have started sooner and complications might have been reduced.

Please do not ignore symptoms your body is giving you. Your body speaks before it breaks down completely. Don’t wait until it becomes an emergency before seeking medical care.

Early treatment can save lives💚.

Dear mothers,
Some symptoms in children should NEVER be ignored.

Not every illness is ordinary fever o🧏

Please take your child to the hospital if you notice these symptoms:

🔸 Yellowish eyes or body
🔸 High fever that isn’t reducing
🔸 Difficulty breathing
🔸 Convulsions
🔸 Child becoming unusually weak
🔸 Refusing food or water
🔸 Persistent diarrhea or vomiting
🔸 Child sleeping too much and difficult to wake

Home treatment is good for some minor situations, but you see serious symptoms, they need professional care.

Many conditions become worse because treatment was delayed.

As health workers, one thing we wish parents understood is this:
Early hospital visits can prevent complications.

Your child cannot explain how serious the pain is.
Observe carefully and act quickly.

You came to the hospital to get better… not to go home with another illness.

One thing many people don’t realize is that hospitals are filled with different kinds of infections because sick people come in every day for treatment.

So while health workers are doing their best, patients and visitors also need to be careful.

Here are a few simple things that can protect you during your hospital visit:

* Wash or sanitize your hands often.
* Avoid touching surfaces unnecessarily.
* Do not sit too close to obviously sick patients if possible.
* Wear your face mask when necessary, especially in crowded areas.
* Avoid sharing personal items like cups, towels, or phones.
* Follow hospital instructions and hygiene rules.
* If you cough or sneeze, cover your mouth properly.

A hospital is a place of healing, but caution is also part of staying safe.
Sometimes, people focus only on the treatment they came for and forget that prevention matters too.
Protect yourself while receiving care.
Your health is precious. Stay aware. Stay safe❤️
