What my brand needs now is financial support, not consistency 🙏

The consistency is there. The passion is there. The skills are there.

But sometimes, what a growing brand truly needs is funding to move to the next level.

I'm on the weekly engagement list for Bennyomoedo Family and 2 others.

I could remember years ago when I had no machine
I met one woman in owerri imo state who offered to help me buy a manual then, cause I need a manual machine in order to make me work on my own and stop working under someone.

As time went on we became close she took me as a daughter Cause she was an elder woman, we started discussing one thing led to another we started discussing about my work then I told her my challenges and how I needed a manual machine.

she then offered to help me buy it if only I can sleep with her😂😂this woman is a pastor and also in her late 60s. Omo I shock first clean my ears and ask her what she said which she repeated it again.
I gats run for my dear life.

It wasn’t long God blessed me with an industrial machine. As a youth coming up please don’t allow situations make you follow the wrong path cause nothing lasts forever.

But if I wanted to learn sewing from scratch again today…
I honestly wouldn’t depend on apprenticeship alone.

Not because apprenticeship is bad.

But because the internet has changed everything.

Think about it…

Back then, if you wanted to learn sewing, your options were limited:

Find a tailor
Join apprenticeship
Hope they teach you well

That was basically the system.

But now?
Things have changed
You can wake up and learn:

Corset making from one tutor
Sleeve techniques from another
Trouser drafting from someone in another country

All from your phone.
That’s crazy when you really think about it

And honestly, online learning solves a lot of problems people quietly complain about in apprenticeship.

Problem like:

Waiting too long before touching the machine.

Depending on your madam’s mood 😅

Not getting enough attention.

Spending more time watching than practicing

But with online learning, you can replay a lesson 10 times if you want.

Nobody is rushing you.
Nobody is hiding information from you.

You learn at your own pace.

What I personally do not still understand is why:
Some people still see online learning as “less serious.”

Meanwhile, there are people becoming highly skilled from their rooms with just:

A phone
Data
Practice
Consistency

That mindset shift is what many people haven’t caught up with yet.

I’m not saying physical learning will disappear.

But I do think the future of learning sewing will be more digital than people expect.

And honestly?
We’re already seeing it happen.

SCAM ALERT!!!

I was busy cutting clothes this afternoon when a call came in.....

Caller: Hello, good afternoon

Me: Good afternoon, who is this?

Caller: This is daddy, don't you recognise my voice?

Me: 🙄🤔🤔🤔 (my papa don die since nah but I still get plenty daddies) which of my daddies o

Caller: Daddy nah, I've been trying your number since morning

Me: (decided to play along) okay sir.

Caller: I bought a car yesterday and I want to celebrate it with you. So, I'll send you a token to buy malt. How much is charges for 25k?

Me: (in my mind, na you buy car na me you wan send money, issokay) #500 sir

Caller: Is there POS around, go there, let me speak with the person so that I'll send the money directly to the POS account and will give you cash....

At this point, I already knew it's scam. So, I went to my neighbour and told her to play along. The phone was on speaker..
That's how this man changed the story o.
He told my neighbour send 25k to the account number he'll call to her and I'll give her 25k cash.

Omoooo I shock ehn
My neighbour told the man maybe he made a mistake. Na me she suppose give 25k and the man will send 25k to her but the scammer kept telling her to send money to his account and I'll give her cash..

If not that I've seen a video about this on Tiktok, I wouldn't have easily known it's a scam.

Please, be careful out there. These people come up with new strategies everyday...

One designer chatted me that she learned how to sew from her mother but her mum have stop the tailoring work

Now she want to start sewing for people but she scared because she doesn't have certificate

Not everyone out there as designers have certificate but they are doing well

People won't ask you for certificate when you already know what you are doing

All you need to do is to master your work well

Give premium

Build a strong online presence

You are 100 percent neat

Left-handed tailors learning under right-handed bosses 😭😂

Running a business alone from scratch is not easy… there are days you feel tired, days you doubt yourself, and days things don’t go as planned.

But look at you — you didn’t quit.

Every small step, every sleepless night, every lesson learned is building something strong. It may not be perfect yet, but it’s progress… and progress matters.

I’m truly grateful for how far I’ve come, and I know this is just the beginning.
