13 organs, 22 minutes, and decades of wondering put to rest. I just had an advanced MRI that can detect hundreds of conditions before any symptoms show up. Standard healthcare waits until youâre already sick and symptomatic; functional healthcare helps you get ahead of it. I highly recommend this if you want to understand your health at the baseline, and honestly you should.
Thank you for gifting me peace of mind đđż
Everything is political, and itâs okay to say that.

Making sure your skin care doesnât poison you and deregulate your hormones is one of the simplest ways to prioritize your wellbeing. You donât have to be a researcher, just use the app or app. They test food and household products too. Iâve been using these apps for years and theyâve saved me a lot of time and given me a lot of peace. Being informed about what you put on and in your body is a form of self advocacy.

We knew what could happen, we did what we could. Truthfully, itâs likely to get worse. Not enough of the population are fed up enough, or scared enough, or uncomfortable enough. I think a lot more people will need to be pushed to the edge to take a principled and vocal stand. And because of that, Iâm going to do my best to be well despite all of this.
đ Moringa leaf powder is pretty gross IMO, but Iâll drink it anyway because of the benefits:
Clearer skin
Stronger immunity
Increased energy
Reduced inflammation
Blood sugar balance
Hormonal regulation
Digestive support
Cardiovascular health
Liver detoxification
Musculoskeletal strength
Brain function & focus
Exceptionally nutrient dense

The parasocial illusion/delusion that social media creates are ruining our relationship expectations.
Letâs go deeper than the aesthetic.
I donât know how this happened.

This is Chief Nike Davies-Okundaye, aka Mama Nike. She owns the largest art gallery in West Africa. I met her at a party during and she invited me to a private lunch at her gallery the following Sunday to meet her artisans whose works she hoped I could help promote internationally.
She is one of the most central figures in African art and crafts of our time, with over 100 international exhibitions spanning five decades. To have this moment with her is an honor I hold with deep respect and gratitude.
If youâre interested in investing in pieces made through traditional art practices, DM or email me.

The Power in Defining Yourself
Service is What I Was Born To Do
I'm a life coach and co-founder of a non-profit organization called From Privilege to Progress (P2P). P2P has been featured on Jada Pinkett Smithâs Red Table Talk, NPRâs Radio Times and Code Switch, Matter of Fact with Soledad OâBrien, MSNBCâs AM Joy, and in numerous television, print and online outlets. I've spoken nationally to audiences ranging from 8 to 800 at corporations, conferences and events, universities and non-profit organizations, and I'm currently in the planning stages of the first annual P2P Show Up Summit to be held in the California Redwoods in October 2020. None of this would be possible in my life if I didn't set boundaries to ensure my life is what I really want it to be.
Boundaries Are Saving My Future
I didnât always know how to set boundaries. Early in my life my boundaries were loose, almost non-existent, and that stemmed from wanting to fit in and be liked when I was always different, almost always the only African-American in the room. By not setting boundaries I was giving my power away. I was allowing myself to be influenced in directions where I didnât want to go, I was habitually people-pleasing, I didnât have a clear future vision, and I wasnât truly happy. All I wanted was to be happy. I learned how to manage my thoughts and my emotions that enabled me to set the right boundaries to make room for what I needed to do to reach my goals. By honoring my boundaries, it made me more self-confident to take action towards a future vision that excited me. Not only has my career been taking off faster than it ever has, my relationships are healthier and deeper, I met the most amazing man, and Iâm confident my future will continue to get brighter.
