Our Story

After the birth of her first daughter, founder Seun Olarewaju suddenly realised she had more purpose to life than working a 9 - 5. The birth of her girl child inspired her to want to do more in life, so that the little human with beautiful eyes she just birthed could be proud of her. She had always been entrepreneurial, having written her first business plan for her mum when she was just 13 years old. So she decided to start a make up company and have it manufactured in Canada. That was how she discovered what private label was. She contacted a few private label companies to get a quote. Once she got the quote, she started saving up from her meager salary to be able to afford to invest in their minimums. Unfortunately, that was when the Nigerian economy went into recession and the Naira greatly depreciated. Fortunately for her, the private label company she fell in love with in Canada also had organic plant based skincare products on offer which were cheaper than the make up she was going to invest in, so she decided to switch to skincare. From that she started getting messages from the private label company on the importance of organic skincare products and decided to do her research on the content of a lot of store bought skincare and realised most of the ingredients were actually harmful and also realised how important natural skincare was. Unfortunately, the Naira had depreciated to unsustainable levels that made it unsustainable to import such luxury products into the country. Refusing to give up, she decided to research how to make organic skincare products on the internet. She found lots of resources on google and YouTube, bought a few books and started experimenting with skincare products. She decided to start with soaps and was selling them to family, friends and church members. However, she wasn’t making enough profit to inspire her. Then one fine Monday morning (after listening to a powerful sermon in Church on Sunday on taking a leap of faith to start something) she prayed all night and wrote down ideas that came into her mind. One of the ideas was to change her business model. Instead of selling retail, she should sell as a private label and solve the problem of people looking for private label companies in US or Canada to produce their skincare products, just as she was. She stepped out in faith and sent a broadcast to a faith based Whatsapp group the next day detailing that she has just founded an organic soap private label company and whoever would love to start their soap company could contract her company and she would manufacture, package and brand the soaps for them with their own logo. She got so many compliments on how fantastic the idea was, got her first client from the group...and the rest, as they say, is history!
