✓When you send in your admissions application, you will be considered automatically for several merit scholarships. The Presidential Scholarship requires a separate application; however, the rest of our merit scholarships do not.
✓If you are interested in the Presidential Scholarship, simply check that option when you fill out the Common Application (available after Aug. 1).
✓You’ll then receive detailed information — including the topics of the two short essays — on how to apply for the scholarship. The final deadline for submitting the essays is Nov. 1, for Early Decision I and Early Action.
✓A small group of students may be selected as finalists to interview in January from the Early Decision I and Early Action rounds.
✓A second round of finalists will be selected to interview in March. All students will receive an update on their status for the scholarship by the end of March.
✓The Admissions Committee selects finalists based on the strength of their admission applications and other specific criteria identified by the committee.
