Like I told my “Becoming an A+ Intern” students- you have all you need, just switch it up always.

Now I wore different glasses in the clothes and it gave me different looks (finer or not), and the jackets too because I did not want to leave it plain.

I hope you learned something.

I know how heavy some of us are on not wasting money on clothes and using what we have, but would it hurt to always spice things up?

ANKARA OR LACE?

Majority would pick ankara, and majority would still pick lace, and majority would still not know what to go with, and I use the word “majority” intentionally, instead of saying “some”

Ankara is simple, and it can be sown to be worn casually, right? And that is how certain people love it.

Lace is more expensive most of the time and it is rarely worn casually, if you ever even have the mind to sleep in lace, but we have seen people sleep in ankara.

The last set of people are like me. They are so simple that anyone goes. Just give them anyone you want to, or better still, they would go for the one they do not have yet.

We can relate this to earning money, making a living for yourself and accepting things, the way they come into your life. And you know what to go for, right? Comfortable lace! 🥹🤲 Very important!

While it is good for you never to settle for less or what just anyone around has to offer you, it is also important for you to go for something that would not stress life out of you, it would profit you and it would also make life easier for you. Maybe that would be soft lace materials then 🤣

Well, the idea is to keep it related to “clothes/dresses” terms, but it is also important to note that you must be ready to go for not just what you like or what you think is okay for you, don’t also go for what you feel is the last option for you, go for God’s will, go for the best material that suits you!

DRESSING IS ACTING…

Today on clothes…

We were talking in our Bible study today about how important it is for us as believers to shine our light, and be different, be in the world and not of the world, and this came to my mind.

While I was growing up, when my parents are not at around, I’d wear some clothes I shouldn’t wear, to give me a kind of vibe I wanted. E.g, I grew up not being allowed to wear sleeveless clothes and short stuff outside, but I would wear it around the compound when my parents were out so I can feel a certain way (feeling among, peer pressure, I wasn’t a perfect child growing up and that is why I can write teenage dangers). It was all a waste at the end of the day. No profit.

Now, my mind flashed back to when I sew this dress. I was showing my oga (my daddy🤣) and I was acting like his drama queen, I remember saying that “E jor, ebami manage 50k yen fun pure water. E ma binu pe o kere, mo ti wo limit mi Lati transfer lenu (get a translator🤲). I was acting rich, yeah? So you get both scenarios.

It means that those people who have said the way you dress is the way you will be addressed are in no way wrong, because you are expected to behave a certain way when you are dressed in a certain way, and your motive for dressing is evident in the way you dress.

With that being said, be careful of the outfits you choose today and always. Remember, putting clothes together to dress up is acting in a certain way!
