There’s something about the men who come into my saloon. They walk in with the confidence that they will leave as changed people. I appreciate the trust, but there something funny in the change.

You can see the change in their walk, in their shoulders and sometimes i can’t help but smile and think “I did this”

I have over a decade of experience in locking hair and I can't deny that there are some loctitians who have no regard for ethics.

These are things LOCTITIANS DON'T DO:

—Locticians don't skip the foundation.
Clean parts and proper installation determine how your locs will look long-term.
The foundation matters. Shortcuts now means problems later.

— Locticians don't promise to grow your locs overnight. It's not even in their hands. Locs form and mature over time through patience and proper care. There's no "fast track." Just trust the process.

— Locticians don't promise identical results for everyone. If you show a loctitian a picture of the locs you want only for you to get "What I ordered VS what I got"

Your hair texture, density, and routine all affect your loc journey.

What works for someone else might not work for you. And that's okay. Your loctitian is supposed to tell you that.

—Locticians don't neglect washing your locs. Clean locs grow better and washing is very important. It's not even an option. If someone tells you not to wash your locs, japa.😂

—Locticians don't replace maintenance with styling. Healthy locs come from care, not just how they look after styling. That you have Pretty locs doesn't mean you have Healthy locs!

— Locticians don't rush the locking process. Each stage (starter, "ugly phase", mature) happens naturally with time. Patience isn't optional. It's part of the journey.
