A SERVANT'S HONOUR
Ephesians 6:5-6 "Servants, be obedient to them that are your masters according to the flesh, with fear and trembling, in singleness of your heart, as unto Christ; Not with eye service, as men pleasers; but as the servants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart" (KJV).
A servant's honour is seen in obedience, fear and singleness of heart unto the master. Servants are expected to always obey the master regardless of how they feel about the master's instructions. Servants are expected to act in singleness of heart (sincerity) and fear (reverence) unto the master. That which pleases the master should always be the heart beat of any obedient and sincere servant; herein is this servant made honourable by the master. Carefully take time to understand your master so in the period of service, you act accordingly. This also applies to service unto God. You are only honourable as his servant if you sincerely obey and reverence him. We are created to serve his purpose here on earth. The Master constantly takes note of those who daily, want to understand him better so as to improve in their service unto him; this is why the Master has outlined a lot about himself in his word as a guide.
When your actions are not sincere, you are only deceiving yourself and others who are not spiritually sensitive. Choose this day whom you will serve and serve wholeheartedly. With eye service, you are bound to attract attention, accolades, sympathy from men; but remember, all of our works will be passed through God's fire of testing. Do you think your work can survive God's fire? Be wise. Some people loose their positions and don't even know; they keep holding onto past glory; I advise that every time you can; rededicate your life to God for better service; so one doesn't spend years on earth only to end up in hell. As long as there will always be distractions and evil forces fighting to see you fail, hold unto your God given position. You owe it to God and yourself to live a life of honest service. Remain blessed.

* Dear LORD, help me to live a sincere and upright life in my work and walk with you, in Jesus name glorified. Amen.

THE NEW CLOAK
2 Kings 2:9 "And it came to pass, when they were gone over, that Elijah said unto Elisha, Ask what I shall do for thee, before I be taken away from thee. And Elisha said, I pray thee, let a double portion of thy spirit be upon me" (KJV).
Today's focus is on the story of Elijah and Elisha in 2Kings 2:1-15. Elisha knew what he wanted from Elijah and he knew the best way to get his heart's desire was by close and constant fellowship with his master Elijah. Most children of God have become so familiar with their superiors that they fail to see the grace of God upon their lives which they are lacking and should desire. Here Elisha knew the value of Amos 3:3. It is expedient we take note that in the line of duty towards success, if we can't drive away distractions or discouragements from people; they will in turn drive us away from our focus. Elisha was dissuaded by Elijah, and even the sons of prophets, all to prevent him from putting on the new cloak, needed for his ministry.
When you are determined to get something from God, and when divine trinity steps in to solve your case, grant your heart's desire, God asks "what shall I do for thee" as seen in 2kings 2:9; so give God no rest until he asks you that question. In verse 12, Elisha cried out and rent his old cloak in two pieces, and in verse 13, he picked up Elijah's mantle and immediately began operating under great anointing. The same sons of prophets that mocked him, came and bowed down to worship his God. Your enemies will bow and worship your God when you do away with the old cloak which signifies the old anointing. Friends, desire the new cloak..the new anointing. Remain blessed.

Prayer
* Dear LORD, I ask for a fresh release of your anointing upon my life for the fulfillment of divine destiny; here on earth, in Jesus name glorified. Amen.

SALEM (PEACE)!
Luke 8:24 "And they came to him saying, Master, Master we perish. Then he arose and rebuked the wind and the raging of the water; and they ceased, and there was a calm" (KJV).
Originally, ships don't sink; because of the water around them. They were built to float on water; regardless of their size. Ships sink when surrounding water gets into it; causing that extra weight; not meant for the ship. In Luke 8:23, Jesus' disciples were scared of loosing their lives; and seeing Jesus asleep amidst the raging storm, they got confused. In the midst of the storm, Jesus was peaceful. In trying to differentiate "Trinity" according to their unique personalities; we refer to God the Father; The King of Salem. God the Son; The Prince of Salem. God the Spirit; The Spirit of Salem. When we now refer to "Trinity" as one God, we say; The God of Salem. Jesus Christ is the Prince of Peace; and therefore cannot be unsettled by any situation or storm of life.
Matthew 11:12 and John 15:18-19 (Paraphrased) "Ye are not of this world, so never expect their love, their submission, their peace offering. For you to rule and reign, you must take what belongs to you violently in Jesus name". When challenges of life, cause us to sink; we many times forget we've got the power by God's grace to calm every storm; instead we worry a lot and rely on the closest possible solution which goes against God's will for us. Today's digest redirects our focus on trust, belief and our authority in Christ (Philippians 4:7). Who's got Jesus? I'd you've got everything. Why worry? Pray it, speak it out in faith, believe in God's Spirit who bestows us with heavenly authority. Let God's Salem always rule your heart and mind. You are your best version; having Christ. I declare to you; Salem be your portion; Amen. Remain blessed.
Study verses: Luke 8:22-25, Philippians 4:7
Prayer
* Dear LORD, let your peace rule and reign in my life and teach me to know that you are in charge of all that pertains to my life; in Jesus name glorified. Amen.

LIBERTY IN CHRIST
Romans 6:14 "For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law but under grace" (KJV).
Friends let's reason out together. Have you ever considered why it is when people keep thinking about not doing something, that’s when they keep doing it. To set us free, Jesus paid for all our evil desires for sin on the cross; so we can think only and desire only to do those things that please God. I don’t think anybody pays for whatever has been paid for already. That’s a great secret the devil doesn’t want to sink into our hearts as people who have given their lives to Christ; because the devil knows that when we understand this, we will start living, free, without guilty conscience.
The devil keeps making people feel they can never be saved.. That their sins are too much. This point is a place where many Christians may never, ever arrive (living free of guilt); but that is the most important place to be; because that way, we celebrate Jesus and magnify his death on the cross every minute of every day in righteous living. Today many Christians dwell on magnifying sin every day. They think they have to pay for any wrong they do, whenever they go wrong. IF IT SO WHAT DID JESUS DIE FOR? Refuse to be in the camp of those who magnify sin, instead magnify GOD'S LOVE, that love that made Jesus die a painful and shameful death for all of us. Meditate on this with the help of the Holy Spirit. That is when you can understand the full meaning of LIBERTY IN CHRIST. Remain blessed.
Study verses: John 8:32,36, 2Corinthians 3:17, Galatians 5:1
Prayer
* Dear LORD, thank you for setting me free from the slavery of sin. Today and always, I choose to magnify your love. Help me to show others through my lifestyle that your love and freedom is for us all regardless of the life we have lived in the past; in Jesus name glorified. Amen.

DOUBT AND UNBELIEF
Romans 4:20 "He staggered not at the promises of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God" (KJV).
In our work and walk with God, any talk about faith, unbelief, will not be new to the ears of any child of God; but the truth is, most of us still swim, dwell in unbelief. Today, God is saying if you have the knowledge of Christ and how God sees you; you are ready for the work of God; you also need to be ready to tear down the barriers of unbelief and negativism you will face in many forms, for your work for God to be successful always. God made a promise to Abraham, and he believed; then at one point he staggered in his belief until God called on him to be upright in his service of faith (Genesis 16:1-2;17:1-2,16;21:1-2). God is also calling his children today to walk with him and be upright. God knows how doubts, unbelief and fear of his words failing can deter us from getting anything from him; that is why he needs us to have faith in his promises. God's promises have never and will never fail. Has he said a thing concerning you? Be expectant, for it will come to pass at the set time.
God has the best intentions for you, so hold steadfast to your faith in him. God will never come late. He is always on time. We wait and get tired of waiting. Many times, we give God a set time for action; and this is where many of us fail. You don't give God time to act; because you don't know what plans God has in store for you; truth be told, you are not even qualified for that blessing you think you should receive; yes; because God blesses his children out of his undying love and mercy; so as to prove to them that though they falter but their desire to serve him places them in line for God's miracles. One sure truth I can say to you today is, heaven and earth may pass away; but God's word unto man will never seize to come to pass. Patiently wait upon God and believe, you are next in line for the manifestation of God's promise. Remain blessed.

* Dear LORD, forgive me in any way I have doubted; spoken or acted in unbelief. Show me your mercy and bless me as you have promised; in Jesus name glorified. Amen.

RETURN TO RIGHTEOUSNESS
Hosea 10:12 "Sow to yourselves in righteousness, reap in mercy; break up your fallow ground: for it is time to seek the LORD, till he come and rain righteousness upon you" (KJV).
A definite instruction; a clarion call to all of God's creation; be it believers; or unbelievers has been given. In our relationship with God, we need to guard against unrighteousness. There are things we do, thinking we are acting in righteousness; when the initial thought about that thing is sinful before God. Many of God's children today are so careless about the things that go on in their lives on a daily basis. Today, a lot of Christians have a perfect reason for any sin they commit. Our God is indeed a merciful God; but even the bible puts this question across in Romans 6:1 "........ Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?" (KJV). It is time to seek the LORD; however, understand that seeking God has to be with all level of sincerity. God is a Spirit; and they that must worship him, must do so in Spirit and truth. In everything you do, you need the help of the Holy Spirit to guide you to success.
Unrighteousness gives the devil power over a man's life; making this man loose his spiritual authority in Christ. Unrighteousness is another word for sin. The devil knows that the only way he can steal a man's blessings; and cause this man to live a life of toiling and suffering is only when this man breaks the spiritual covering over his life by unrighteousness. The devil creates an avenue for this man to sin; and when this man falls, straightway, the devil begins to manipulate this man's life. Today, no matter what has happened in the past, the instruction is that you return to righteousness. You might think you are righteous; but I also feel you need to really be sure you are standing right. It does not give God pleasure to see his children lose their soul to the devil. God is willing to forgive your sins; only return in sincerity. That bold step you will take today is of great importance to the growth of God's kingdom in the life of men. Don't hesitate. Remain blessed.
Study verses: Hosea 10:12-13; 13:9-10; 14:1-3
Prayer
* Dear LORD, I return to you today and ask that you help me always stand right; even as I play my own part in the growth of your kingdom in the life of men; in Jesus name glorified. Amen.

LIGHTEN MY DARKNESS
2Samuel 22:29 "For thou art my lamp, O LORD: and the LORD will lighten my darkness" (KJV).
Today's text was a prayer made by King David unto God. Darkness as used in the text refers to weakness, poor understanding, ignorance, ungodliness and this is why many times Christians, refer to the devil and all he associates with as darkness. It is my honest prayer today that God will lighten every trace of darkness you are currently experiencing today, for ever. Accepting that there are certain dark areas needing God's illumination in your life makes you a humble and better Christian. In life, there are one or few areas of weakness you easily fall for than you can resist, these areas are dark areas and it is no sin to find out you have them, all that counts for sin is how you handle them. Are you comfortably enjoying living in the dark; thinking God understands that you are just human or are you sincerely seeking God's cleansing and illumination from these dark areas? You know where you stand.
Light was created by God to destroy darkness; because living in darkness negates the original order of life of a child of God. Today, consider that area of your life or your family's life where darkness still prevails and turn to God for his light. David acknowledged God as his lamp, his only source of light hence he prayed in today's text. Seek God's word daily, you will find a path that leads to God's light (Psalm 119:105). Another question for you today is; when you experience dark times in life, whom do you seek for light? Remember God gives light; so likewise does the devil give darkness and deceive people to think it is light. Dark times suck up your peace and freedom; you might be found in the dark but please never remain in the dark. The devil is the master of darkness knowing his way in the dark. An illuminated soul is God's greatest treasure; and God is always ready to spot those dark areas in your life and shine his light. Open up to him today. Remain blessed.

Prayer
* Dear LORD, I totally open up to you today; for you to spot out and illuminate every dark area in my life; in Jesus name glorified. Amen.

THE FAITHFUL JUDGE
2Samuel 22:26-27 "With the merciful thou wilt shew thyself merciful, and with the upright man thou wilt shew thyself upright. With the pure thou wilt shew thyself pure; And with the froward thou wilt shew thyself unsavoury" (KJV).
Different characters and lifestyles of different people and how God handles them are outlined in the text. God indeed is the faithful judge. Most people are so quick to pretend and feign certain lifestyles to either gain attention or acceptance; or as it is called "eye service". Such lifestyles of pretence are cowardly and actually anger God; because in your efforts to pretend and be seen as good, God knows you for who you are; since he is all knowing. Jesus paid the price for our lives on the cross; so we owe it to him to always be sincere and never pretend; this is why whoever still chooses to act in ways such as is described in the text will get same response from God. It surely pays to live pure and upright.
Whoever continues to live in sin, only prove they still love the old life of sin which originally should have been done away with. Galatians 6:7 says "Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap" (KJV). You will always face the consequences of your wrong doing; God is not one to pay good with evil. God knows best how to judge. Be sure that way which seemeth right with you is also accepted by God; only then are you sure of God's mercies and love. Maintain the godliness inside of you. Consciously desist from sin and if you sin, sincerely return to God and seek his forgiveness. Never be too wise thinking you can play God and get away with it. You might continue in sin and it seems God keeps ignoring you; you better stop it now, return and remain permanently in God. Remain blessed.

* Dear LORD, today I return to you for cleansing in ways I have wronged you; and I ask for your grace to remain in you sincerely; going forward, in Jesus name glorified. Amen.

BELIEF IN GOD
John 14:12 "Verily, verily, I say unto you. He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father" (KJV).
The above text is a great statement and it goes to you and I. Some of us say; I have known God for many years and have served him faithfully; done great wonders in his name; pause it a little; friend and go with me to the bible in Matthew 7:21-23. Belief in God is relative both to individuals and groups of people. As a person, it is possible that you believe God's power in one area of life and ministry; but find it difficult to believe in God in another area; and in all sincerity, 90% percent from you is OK for God. I tell you, it is either 100% or nothing. It is only those who believe or will start believing God in all areas that can be counted as being righteous. Friends, God is thorough in all His ways.
Jesus believed in the redemptive power of God; and that only the death of a pure being could cleanse a filthy and depraved people like you and I; hence he came to die in John 3:16; and he then offered us a chance to be like him in Isaiah 1:18, John 1:12. He who totally believes in God will through God, do mighty wonders; giving glory to God's name. The Holy Spirit is the power of the most high God that works in the life of those who believe in God. The Holy Spirit however, works at the level you believe he can. Believe God that he can do all things and believe him in all areas of your life. We are in the last days where our belief in God will determine how much work we will do for God and how far God will take us. Remain blessed.

* Dear LORD, I believe in you. I also ask that you help me to totally believe and trust in your ways and your will for all that concerneth my life, in Jesus name glorified. Amen.

FRIENDSHIP WITH THE WORLD
James 4:4 "Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God" (KJV).
Friendship with the world is enmity with God; and whosoever fancies the things of the world more than the things of God is an enemy of God. It is always important that you declare your stance and never deceive yourself. When the LORD Jesus Christ was on earth, his words and actions were so obvious for all to understand whose side he favoured; except for those who were leaders and knew next to nothing about godliness. Jesus always condemned sin; prevalent in the heart of men especially those the people looked up to as leaders. Jesus taught his disciples to be ruthless against sin and always sincerely serve God. Jesus always encouraged his disciples to pray, grow in faith and in the habit of fasting. The service of God is not for indecisive people who are at times scared to firmly declare for God.
I know you want to serve God sincerely but you are not ready to give up your friends you usually join to commit sin; or those secret sinful habits. No saint today was born sanctified; they all came from a point of sinfulness; but decided to turn to uprightness and follow God. Your soul's destination after life on earth is the most important. A good person who constantly finds pleasure in corrupt things will surely be corrupt in no distant time. One thing the Pharisees and Scribes had against Jesus; until his death was his constant claim and stance for God; his heavenly Father. They lacked spiritual understanding so to them he was a blasphemer and hypocrite; his reactions and answers always confused them. You need divine wisdom and understanding of God to discern what to do in all situations. God will always help those who sincerely decide and make positive efforts to follow him. Be encouraged. Remain blessed.

* Dear LORD, today and forever, I denounce my friendship with any thing worldly; anything that constantly draws me into sin. I choose to follow you wholeheartedly. Teach me your ways of uprightness, in Jesus name glorified. Amen.

WE SERVE A JUST GOD
Revelation 15:3 "And they sing the song of Moses the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying, Great and marvellous are thy works, Lord God Almighty; just and true are thy ways, thou King of saints" (KJV).
We serve a God; who is loving and understanding; a God who is fair in his treatment to all his creation, even to those who neglect his instructions and guidelines. God created man to serve a divine purpose and for this sole reason, he placed us in different positions in life, gave us different guidelines on how to fulfill this divine purpose. God knows that we will always try to do things on our own, neglecting him. God has even given us the liberty to choose between life and death, not because he doesn't know what he wants for us, but because man loves to fall out of line and so God wants man to learn to make good decisions for his life.
God being just in nature, understands that even when we sin, we are still his children. God is fair to us even in our unrighteousness and he expects us to turn away from our evil and have faith in his love, saving power, ability to prosper. God's love for man can't be compared to any other kind of love. God sorrows each time he sees his children fall into the snare of the devil out of ignorance, carelessness, sins; because his hands become tied and unable to save. God will never cast anyone away; he will always place life and death before you but advice you to choose life. God is sincere, patient, understanding, forgiving, ever loving and also has the power to make you just like him if you choose him wholeheartedly. Turn your hearts to him today and disregard any nature of evil, that draws you to sin. God is capable of setting you free and giving you a new life that helps you enjoy the benefits of his grace. Remain blessed.

* Dear LORD, I choose to follow you all my days so I can be like you; and serve you sincerely. Set me free from my sins and teach me the way that is just; in Jesus name glorified. Amen.

GIVE IT ALL UP
John 2:7 "Jesus saith unto them, Fill the waterpots with water. And they filled them up to the brim" (KJV).
The story of the marriage in Cana of Galilee is one of the many bible stories that tell us of God's wonder-working abilities. Jesus could have prayed to the Father to provide instant money to buy more drinks; or he would have ordered that the six waterpots be brought and instantly without pouring water, the wine will fill the pots by his power, but he chose to do it another way. Many times, instead of focusing on doing what God has asked us to do, we are focused on the benefits of working for God. Some say "I know if I live righteously, God will bless my days". Not that it is a lie; but God needs those who want to live righteously because they know they were created to live righteously and not because they are expecting something in return for righteous living.
The servants in John 2, could have argued and thought it foolish to obey Jesus; just as some people regard you as being stupid and foolish all because you chose God over this world. Give it all up; stop trying to understand how God's blessings will come and just serve God as he demands in John 4:24. Let the world see the results, not because you want to brag; but because God wants to tell them; he's got a loyal servant in you and he has made you a praise for all men to see and glorify your God. Have a renewed heart that seeks to serve God, and not always seeking payment from God for services rendered; when of truth, you cannot serve properly without God's help. Remain blessed.
Study verses: 1Corinthians 1:27-31
Prayer
* Dear LORD, I totally give up my own selfish desires for benefits from serving you; I want to only do your will and your works as you count me worthy; in Jesus name glorified. Amen.
