Today I will be talking about OIL, the types of oil, and their functions with the benefits they bring to your skin.
What is oil??
Oil is any nonpolar chemical substance that is a viscous liquid at ambient temperatures and is both hydrophobic (does not mix with water, literally "water fearing") and lipophilic (mixes with other oils, literally "fat loving"). Oils have a high carbon and hydrogen content and are usually flammable and surface active. Most oils are unsaturated lipids that are liquid at room temperature.

There are two types of Oil namely; CARRIER OIL and ESSENTIAL OIL.
Carrier oils are used as a base, diluting concentrated essential oils and making them safe to use on the skin while Essential oils are distilled from the aromatic leaves, bark, and roots of plants. If applied to the skin directly, they can cause reactions.
