Baby skin Care routine.
Today, I want to share with us some easy tips for keeping your baby's delicate skin healthy💞
USE LUKEWARM WATER:
Avoid giving your baby hot water baths. Hot water robs the skin of moistures and makes it dry. Use lukewarm water for your baby's bath.🛀
USE MILD SOAP:
Use mild soap for your baby. Avoid using harsh soap that contains lots of chemicals it makes your baby's skin dry by removing moisture and natural oil from the skin.🧼
USE SOFT TOWELS:
Soft towels are the best for your baby's delicate skin and it helps to prevent rashes. When drying your baby's skin, remember to pat it dry and don't rub the towel on her skin.
POWDER:
Using powder on your baby's skin is not necessary if you pat her skin dry well. If you must use powder at all, use mild child- friendly powder. Don't use perfumed powder
ROOM TEMPERATURE:
Always ensure that the temperature of the baby's room is appropriate so that he/ she doesn't sweat a lot or he/her skin does not dry often.
Also, don't expose the baby to cold.
OIL MASSAGES:
Massage your baby's skin with natural oils like coconut oil, shea butter, almond oil etc. It helps to keep baby's skin supple and nourished. PLEASE AVOID FRAGRANT OILS WITH CHEMICALS.
DIAPER SIZE/CREAM:
Make sure the diapers are not too tight.they should be soft and absorbent. Use brandia of diaper that your baby is not allergic to , also use diaper cream which is natural & no chemical additives.
GENTLE SOAP AND DETERGENT:
Use mild and gentle soap and detergent to wash baby's clothes to keep them soft . Ensure you wash baby's clothes separately.
SUN EXPOSURE:
Always make sure your baby is well covered when heading outdoors. Babies are prone to sunburn more than adults.
MOISTURIZE:
Use a mild and non-fragrant moisturizer to lock in the moisture of your baby's skin after bath.
MOTHERS, PLEASE DON'T BLEACH YOUR BABY'S SKIN. Not only does it damage the skin,it could also lead to skin cancer
