Sometimes, just like the horse in this picture, people carry deep wounds in silence.
They are hurt by harsh words, neglect, and the actions of others, yet they choose to remain silent. They keep smiling, loving, serving, and showing up for everyone while quietly hurting on the inside.

One of the hardest lessons adulthood has taught me...

Not everyone who shares your surname shares your heart.
For years, I thought love, kindness, and loyalty would naturally be reciprocated. I believed family would always be the first to celebrate you, defend you, and make you feel like you belong.

Reality taught me otherwise.
Sometimes, the deepest wounds don't come from strangers—they come from people you grew up with. The pain of being overlooked, excluded, or treated as though you don't matter leaves scars that no one else can see.

But here's what I'm learning...
Don't spend your life begging for a seat at tables where your presence is merely tolerated. Your peace is too valuable for that.
Keep loving. Keep growing. Keep becoming. And when God lifts you, don't become the kind of person whose success makes others feel invisible. Let your success create room for others to feel seen, valued, and included.

Because true greatness is not measured by how many strangers applaud you, but by how the people closest to you feel when they're around you.

THE STRANGERS PRAISE YOU, BUT YOUR FAMILY KNOWS THE PAIN.

This has troubled me for years.
How is it possible for someone to be celebrated as a philanthropist everywhere they go, yet the very people who share their blood feel neglected, humiliated, and forgotten? Strangers sing their praises, while relatives silently carry the wounds of rejection.
Some people organize grand events, support outsiders generously, and receive applause from the public.
Yet, when it comes to their own family, they build walls, choose who is "worthy," and treat others as if they don't exist. Those who have less are quickly labeled as jealous, manipulative, or evil, instead of being shown compassion and dignity.
There is an old saying that when wealth reaches a home, the entire kindred should feel its impact.
Sadly, today, the opposite seems to be happening. Many families are divided by pride, status, and the desire to impress outsiders, while love, unity, and responsibility are pushed aside.
I am not saying every relative deserves unlimited help, nor that every family member has good intentions. But should success become a reason to look down on your own people? Should those who once stood with you become invisible simply because your status has changed?
