Nigerian Writes Elon Musk, Seeks Medical Assistance

A 21-year-old Nigerian student, Muhammad Lawal, has written an open letter to billionaire and owner of Twitter, Elon Musk.

In the open letter published on his Twitter handle on Tuesday, Lawal revealed that he suffers from sickle cell complications and has had bilateral total knee replacement and bilateral total hip replacement at the Kano National Orthopaedic Hospital, Dala, which has affected his mobility.

Lawal went on to reveal that some experts in Germany have said they would be able to help but he can’t afford the cost, which is why he needs the help of Musk.

To Musk he wrote, “I have been referred to Germany to get back on my feet and it’s a substantial amount of money beyond my reach to get the medical plan already set up by my medical experts, which is why I am soliciting your support.”

Enugu police arrests 18-year-old girl for stabbing her new born baby to d€ath following the advice from her 60-year-old mum

The Commissioner of Police in Enugu state, CP Ahmed Ammani, has ordered the State Criminal Intelligence and Investigation Department (SCIID) Enugu to thoroughly investigate the case of alleged conspiracy and m¥rder of a newborn male child (infanticide), by the mother of the child, one Ada Joy Okonkwo aged 18, and her mother, one Christiana Okonkwo of about 60 years old, at Olocha-Adogba in Awgu community of Awgu L.G.A., on November 7.

A statement released by the spokesperson of the state police command, DSP Daniel Ndukwe, says preliminary investigation shows that the said mother of the newborn child used a kitchen knife to st@b the child to death, following the counseling of her mother, moments after she was delivered of the baby at home.

Ndukwe said the child was taken to the hospital and confirmed dead by the doctors on duty, while the co**se was deposited in the mortuary for preservation and autopsy.

The police PRO mentioned that the state Commissioner of police has called on citizens of the community, particularly the women who carried out a peaceful demonstration to express their disgust over the act, to maintain peace, and avoid acts that could lead to the breakdown of law and order in the community.

Breaking! Explosion Rocks Popular Anambra Market

Reports reaching us have it that explosion has rocked the popular Ọgbọ Ọgwụ Market in Onitsha, Anambra State.

It was gathered that the explosion, which badgered on Tuesday morning, razed many goods in the market.

When contacted, the Managing Director of the Anambra State Fire Service, Engr. Martin Agbili confirmed the fire incident, but however said it affected a section of the Ọgbọ Ọgwụ Market.

While noting that the cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained, the Anambra Fire Chief said his men are currently there at the scene battling the fire.

The extent of damages caused by the fire is also yet to be ascertained.
