CIP is a rare condition cause by mutations in the SCN9A gene which affects nerve signal transmission. Pain signals simply don't get to the brain so they can't feel pain.🙂‍↔️🧠🧠

It starts from birth. When people with this condition are born, they don't cry. 😭

In Nigeria, when a baby is born and he refuses to cry, jxt one slap from the nurse would make the baby to cry but babies with CIP don't cry no matter how hard you beat or slap them. 😪

CIP sounds like a superpower but no, it isn't.
People with CIP can get wounds but they can't feel the pain which makes them leave their wounds untreated.
They can also injure themselves unknowingly.

Many people with this condition die young due to unnoticed injuries.
