He Said He Loved Her⊠But It Was Just a Bet đ (Part 2)
Amaka didnât walk in.
She couldnât.
Her legs felt heavy⊠like the ground itself was holding her back from stepping into that room and breaking completely.
Tears rolled down her cheeks silently.
Not the loud kind of cryingâŠ
The painful, quiet kind that comes when your heart is shattered beyond words.
She held her stomach gently.
âSo this is how it ends?â she whispered to herself.
In that moment, something inside Amaka changed.
Not her strengthâŠ
But her innocence.
She turned and walked away before they could see her.
Before they could see the tears.
Before they could see what they had done to her.
That night, she cried like she never had before.
Not just because of ObinnaâŠ
But because she allowed herself to believe.
Days passed.
Obinna kept calling.
Texting.
Acting like nothing had happened.
âBaby, where have you been?â
âI miss you.â
âHope youâre okay?â
Amaka would stare at her phone⊠and just smile sadly.
The same man who said âI love youâ
was the same man who laughed about her with his friends.
One evening, she finally replied.
âLetâs meet.â
When they saw each other, Obinna walked in with his usual confident smile, arms open like everything was still perfect.
But Amaka was different.
Calm.
Silent.
Unreadable.
âI have something to tell you,â she said.
He laughed lightly. âMe too⊠Iâve missed you.â
Amaka looked him straight in the eyes⊠the same eyes she once trusted.
âIâm pregnant.â
For the first time⊠Obinnaâs smile faded.
Silence filled the space between them.
âYouâre⊠what?â he stuttered.
âPregnant,â she repeated, her voice steady.
âBut donât worry⊠I already know everything.â
His heart dropped.
âI heard you that day,â she continued.
âThe bet⊠your friends⊠everything.â
Obinna tried to speak, but no words came out.
For once, the guy who had all the lines⊠had nothing.
Tears gathered in Amakaâs eyes again, but this time, they didnât fall.
âYou didnât just win a bet, Obinna,â she said softly.
âYou broke a human being.â
Silence.
âI loved you,â she added.
âBut now⊠I choose me.â
She stood up to leave.
Obinna reached out.
âAmaka wait⊠it wasnât supposed to go this far⊠I didnâtââ
She stopped⊠but didnât turn back.
âThatâs the problem,â she said.
âYou never planned to love me⊠but I did.â
And with that⊠she walked away.
This time, not broken.
But rebuilding.
To be continued⊠â€ïžâđ©č

As a content creator....
When was the last time you sat down to watch television ?
23/05/2026
One thing about content creation is that it will make you discover a version of yourself you never knew existed.
âIt sharpens your brain.
You start thinking deeper.
You observe things differently.
âIdeas begin to come from places you never expected.
Before you know it, ordinary situations become content ideas.
âYour creativity wakes up.
Your confidence grows.
âContent creation is not just about posting...
It transforms the way you think.
âIf you are a creator and youâve noticed this change in yourself, drop a đ„ in the comments.

The pressure to always get likesâŠ
