Interestingly, Chris Vic, a visually impaired singer, has survived 9 weeks of non-stop musical performances every Sunday for the past 3 months.

Out of over 5000 applicants who applied and auditioned for the 2025 edition of the show, Chris Vic has proven himself to be a gifted singer who truly deserves this win.

He survived different stages, and now he is among the finalists.

In a match that kept the entire campus on edge, Eastern Obolo Local Government rose like true giants and etched their name in the sands of football glory defeating the ever-strong Ikot Ekpene in a fierce 2-1 showdown.

From the first whistle to the last tackle, Eastern Obolo showed class, grit and fire proving that their road to the finals was no accident, it was destiny. The chants, the unity, the hunger, they brought it all to the pitch and left as undisputed CHAMPIONS of the Dean’s Unity Cup 2025.

This victory is not just a win, it’s a statement. A statement that Eastern Obolo is a force in student football. A team with heart. A team with vision. A team with results.

We salute Ikot Ekpene for their strength and spirit, pushing till the final whistle. A team filled with brilliance and grit, truly worthy finalists who made the competition fierce and thrilling.

Big congratulations also go to Ikot Abasi, who secured 3rd place after a determined and impressive match against Oron Local Government. They’ve shown that consistency and teamwork pay off.

Special appreciation goes to the Executive Chairman of Eastern Obolo LGA, Rt. Hon. Samuel Samuel, ably represented by the Hon. Supervisor for Sports, for standing tall with the champions and showing unwavering support.

To the heartbeat behind this unforgettable tournament, the Dean of Students Affairs, Prof. Dominic Ekpo, thank you for being the driving force and proud donor of this legacy-building competition.
