HOW TO WIN THE DIABETES WAR WITH FOOD
Diabetes is not just a medical condition; it is a battle—one that is fought daily on the plate, in the kitchen, and in the mind. The good news is that food, the very thing that may have contributed to the problem, becomes the strongest weapon for victory when used wisely.
The war is won by understanding and choosing foods that work for you, not against you.
Choose foods that release sugar slowly. Whole grains, legumes, vegetables, nuts and seeds help the body maintain steady energy without driving sugar levels up.
Eat more colours than calories. The more colourful your plate—greens, yellows, reds, purples—the more antioxidants, fibre, vitamins and minerals enter your bloodstream to repair cells and improve insulin sensitivity.
Let fibre become your daily shield. Beans, vegetables, oats, plantain, unripe banana, and local foods like ukwa, acha and guinea corn slow down glucose entry and keep you full longer.
You may order from Dr Itoro Paul, the Diatitian, the different conditions friendly diet (NutriMix Energy Cereal).
Use healthy fats to your advantage. Avocado, olive oil, coconut, groundnuts, walnuts and seeds calm inflammation and protect your heart, which diabetes loves to attack.
Control portions—small battles win big wars. Even healthy foods eaten in excess can raise blood sugar. Victory comes with discipline.
Drink water like medicine. Dehydration increases blood sugar concentration. Water supports digestion, detoxification and circulation.
Cut back on sugar and refined foods or completely eliminate: Soft drinks, pastries, white bread, white rice, noodles, and everyday sugary snacks that fuel diabetes like petrol fuels fire.
Let food be your daily therapy. Herbs and spices like ginger, garlic, turmeric, scent leaf, bitter leaf, and moringa help regulate blood sugar and reduce inflammation.
Eat with timing and intention. Consistent meal times, avoiding late-night eating, and mindful chewing help the body process food efficiently.
Stay active to multiply the effect of food. A 20–30 minute walk after meals acts like a second medicine, helping muscles use up excess glucose.
Victory begins the day you stop feeding the disease and start feeding your health.
Food is not just nutrition—it is strategy, therapy, and defence.
The good news is that I can help you permanently reverse diabetes if you have one with food.

*😲😲Breaking News 🗞️ 🗞️*
In a historic scientific milestone, researchers have used CRISPR gene-editing technology to completely delete HIV DNA from human cells, effectively stopping the virus from ever coming back. This is the first time scientists have been able to fully remove the virus’s genetic material from infected cells, marking a huge leap toward a permanent cure for HIV.
The breakthrough works by using CRISPR as molecular scissors to precisely target and cut out the HIV DNA hidden inside human cells. Once the viral DNA is removed, the cells remain healthy and free of infection, preventing the virus from replicating or re-emerging.
This discovery could revolutionise how HIV is treated, offering hope for millions living with the virus worldwide. Unlike current treatments that suppress HIV but require lifelong use, this approach directly eliminates the virus’s genetic blueprint.
Experts say this research is still in early stages, but the results are incredibly promising. Human trials will be the next critical step to determine if this method can be safely and effectively used on a larger scale.
If successful, CRISPR could become the tool that finally ends the decades-long battle against HIV and paves the way for cures to other viral infections.
