Merry Christmas to all of our customers around the world. May this season be filled with peace, love, and joy.

I never thought I was the kind of person who would build something of my own. Maybe the potential was always inside me, but for the longest time, I just couldn’t see it.

Exactly this time last year, I came online to introduce my business: my brand, to you all. God knows how scared I was. Starting a business wasn’t part of my plan at the beginning of the year. But life happened, and the amazing people around me gently reminded me that I didn’t have to wait for everything to be perfect before I started.

I remember my husband saying something that stayed with me:
“If you wait until everything looks ready before you start, then you’ve probably started too late.”
In other words, now is always the right time to begin.

Today marks the first anniversary of Quinn’s HairTopia, and I’m filled with so much gratitude. Thank you, Jesus. Thank you to everyone who stood by me, believed in me, and to all my amazing customers who trusted my hands and my vision. This first year wasn’t easy, but it was fun, adventurous, and deeply rewarding.

Sometime around July this year, we officially registered the business with CAC. I’ve been waiting for the “right” moment to share this, and honestly, today feels perfect.

So… congratulations to me, to US.

I also want to specially thank my husband (my investor) for his creativity, his support, and all the unseen work he’s poured into this brand. For all you’ve done and all you’ll CONTINUE to do, in Jesus’ name, I don’t take it for granted.

My prayer for this time next year is to have my own hair studio; a space where my amazing customers can walk into and feel at home. For now, I still work from home, trusting the process and taking it one step at a time.

Everything is gon' be alright.

A friend of mine brought her wig for me to style the other day. Later, my husband asked me a question I didn’t want to entertain at first: why did she bring it? Was it because I’m really good at fixing wigs, or simply because I’m her friend and if she could afford someone “better,” would she have taken it there instead?

I wasn’t in the mood for that lecture, but it stuck with me. It made me start thinking: do friends patronize us because we’re truly good at what we do, or because we’re just the nearest available option?

As (emerging) business owners, I think it’s important to know where we stand on that scale.

That’s why I’ve made a pledge: to be so competent that whether you’re my friend or not, when you hand me your wig, you’ll get a result that feels like I treated you as an enemy secretly waiting to find a flaw in my brand.

In short, expect top-notch results… because even my friends don’t get discounts on excellence 😉 😜 😊.
