The Girl Who Hid the Truth
Page 1:
THE FIRST SYMPTOMS
Amara was a cheerful seventeen-year-old girl who lived with her widowed mother in a small town. She loved singing, dancing, and spending time with her friends.
One day, she began to feel weak. She developed headaches, occasional fever, and strange pains in her chest. Her mother noticed she was not eating well and insisted that she visit a doctor.
Reluctantly, Amara agreed.
Page 2:
THE LIE
At the clinic, the doctor asked many questions.
"How long have you been feeling this way?" he asked.
Amara hesitated.
She was afraid to admit that she had been experiencing symptoms for several months. She feared her mother would be angry for hiding them.
So she lied.
"It's only been a few days," she said.
The doctor prescribed treatment based on the information she provided.
PAGE 3:
A TEMPORARY RELIEF
For a short time, Amara felt better.
She returned to school and resumed her normal activities.
Her mother believed everything was fine.
But deep inside, Amara knew something was wrong.
The chest pains were becoming more frequent.
PAGE 4:
THE COLLAPSE
One afternoon during a school event, Amara suddenly collapsed.
Teachers rushed her to the hospital.
Tests revealed that her condition was much more serious than anyone had realized.
The doctors struggled to understand why the disease had advanced so quickly.
Only then did Amara confess that she had not told the truth during her first visit.
PAGE 5:
REGRET
Her mother cried when she heard the truth.
"Why didn't you tell them everything?" she asked.
Amara could not answer.
The guilt was overwhelming.
She wished she could go back in time and be honest.
PAGE 6:
THE COMA
Despite the doctors' efforts, Amara's condition deteriorated.
One night, she stopped responding.
She slipped into a coma.
Machines now breathed and monitored her.
Her mother sat beside her bed every day, praying for a miracle.

Most people know their bank balance better than they know their resting heart rate.
We spend money on blood tests, scans, supplements, and health gadgets, yet ignore a number our body produces every second of every day—our resting heart rate.
Your heart will beat about 100,000 times today whether you pay attention to it or not.
A resting heart rate that is gradually rising may be your body's first cry for help, long before symptoms appear. It can reflect chronic stress, poor sleep, declining fitness, excess weight, dehydration, or an underlying illness. On the other hand, a falling resting heart rate often signals that your heart is becoming stronger and more efficient.
The question is not whether your heart is working. It is.
The question is: How hard is it working just to keep you alive?
Take 30 seconds tomorrow morning before getting out of bed. Check your pulse. Learn your baseline. Then watch the trend over time.
Because sometimes the most important health warning signs are not hidden in a laboratory report—they are quietly beating inside your chest.
❤️ Your heart never takes a day off. Perhaps it deserves a little more attention from you.

Nor TRY drngs my brothers and sisters.
Bayo Onanuga ought to be the most deligent person in this government. But, I am ashamed both for him and those calling for the head of VDM.
It shows the level of IQs we have in this space called Nigeria.
