De Kust heeft altijd iets magisch, maar in de winter krijgt ze een verrassend rustige charme. Wij trokken er onlangs een weekendje op uit naar Knokke-Heist, op zoek naar kunst, cultuur en fijne eetadresjes. 🌾🌊🍴

Onze favoriete ontbijt, lunch- en dineradresjes aan de Belgische Oostkust (Knokke-Heist en Blankenberge)! 😋💛
1. Ontbijt/brunch bij 🥐 Ook als je niet logeert in het hotel, kan je gezellig komen ontbijten
2. Bagels bij in Blankenberge 🥯 Kies voor een heerlijk ontbijt of lunch in een gezellige setting
3. Fris en gezond bij 🥗 Elke dag open voor ontbijt, brunch of lunch in een sfeervol interieur
4. Verfijnde keuken bij 🍷 Bekroond met beste wijn per glas door Gault & Millau, maar wij gingen voor een non-alcoholische versie die heerlijk was, samen met het vegetarische menu
5. Diner met zeezicht bij 🌊 Een van de Lekkere Westen restaurants, die gebruik maakt verse streekproducten

Als je mij al langer volgt op Sprinkles on a Cupcake, weet je dat ik graag nieuwe huidverzorging test. De afgelopen maanden heb ik twee producten van ISDIN intensief gebruikt: het ISDIN Retinal Intense Nachtserum en de ISDIN Isdinceutics K-Ox Eyes oogcrème. Omdat deze producten veel besproken worden en claimen effectiever te zijn dan traditionele retinolproducten, wilde ik zelf ervaren wat ze écht doen voor de huid — en vooral of ze de hype waard zijn.

✨ Hotel/brunch tip in Amsterdam – save this when you’re visiting Amsterdam soon (which you should because tulip season is almost here) ☺️🌷
We stayed at Pillows Hotel Maurits at the Park and wow… what a gem 🤍 Our room was amazing, with the best view, so spacious with an amazing bathroom.
It’s a 5-star Grand Boutique Hotel featuring wellness facilities, a beautiful terrace overlooking Oosterpark, and a rooftop bar. The restaurants are absolute must-tries too (and you can eat there even if you’re not staying at the hotel!).
Our highlight? 🥐☕ The breakfast — honestly, worth going for on its own. Such a treat, and so difficult to choose from the amazing menu.
The location is perfect: peacefully situated, yet within walking distance of Amsterdam’s city center, the iconic canals, the Rijksmuseum, the 9 Streets and more. The unique combination of lush greenery and city vibes makes this hotel truly special.
👉 A must-visit if you’re looking to combine luxury, calm, and the best of Amsterdam.

Feest vandaag, want mijn blog Sprinkles on a Cupcake bestaat maar liefst 16 jaar. Zestien. Dat blijft toch een beetje onwerkelijk om te typen. Wat ooit begon als een klein online dagboek, een plek om mijn gedachten, reizen en favoriete adresjes te delen, groeide uit tot een vaste waarde in mijn leven — en hopelijk ook een beetje in dat van jullie. 🥳🎉🍾
