I lost 40kg. Gained it all back. Then lost 30kg — for good.
For years I thought the problem was me. Not enough discipline, not enough willpower, always starting over.
Turns out the problem was the method. 2+ hours in the gym a day, weighing every gram, losing my period, skipping every social event — that’s not discipline, that’s a system built to fail. So when I couldn’t keep it up anymore, I didn’t lose motivation. I burned out.
The second time I did it differently: real food, training I actually enjoy, no more all-or-nothing. That’s the version that stuck. My PCOS is no longer running the show, my periods are regular, and I’m not white-knuckling my way through a “diet.”
