This photo of Athena makes me feel like :
hmm, maybe she looks a little bit like me after all? Lol!Push lang, girl! Manifesting my face somewhere in there!

But honestly, I don’t mind when people say she looks exactly like her dad. I totally agree. If you’ve seen Anrue’s childhood photos, you’d probably say the same thing. It’s like looking at twins! Sometimes I just stare at her and feel like I’m watching a tiny version of him grow right in front of me. Grabe ka photocopy!

But you know what? I feel so blessed. Even if she didn’t get much from me, at least no DNA test is needed dba? just kidding! What truly matters is that she is healthy, happy, and growing so well. That’s the biggest blessing of all.

Being a parent makes you realize that it’s not really about who your child looks like. It’s about the love you give, the memories you build, and the life you share together. I’m just so grateful for moments like this 💖

capturing little smiles, little milestones, and of course, the funny moments where we all compare who she resembles more 😅😝

At the end of the day, she is her own person. And for me, that is the most beautiful thing.

I just wanted to share a little glimpse of how I interact with my 14-month-old baby. Every day is a new adventure with her. At this stage, she is like a sponge, absorbing every little thing around her. That is why I make it a point to create meaningful moments, even through the simplest interactions.I actually have a lot of baby rhymes and songs memorized. Some are the common ones you hear everywhere, but many of them are just playful chants and melodies I made up myself or versions I tweaked along the way. It has become a part of our routine now. Whenever I see her starting to feel bored or when her attention starts to drift away, I immediately find ways to distract her in a positive way. I never force her to focus because I understand that babies have short attention spans. Instead, I shift gears and try something new to capture her interest again.Sometimes, I let her hold and explore safe objects around her. Other times, I lightly touch her, give her tickles, or change the tone of my voice to make things playful again. And when that still does not work, I transition to singing the next song. I do it not just to entertain her but to continue our bonding, to keep her engaged, and to make learning through play consistent and fun.For me, learning at this age does not have to be strict or structured. It is about being present and playful. It is about making her feel loved, heard, and seen while also guiding her to discover new things in her own little way. I believe that babies learn best when they feel safe, happy, and curious. So I turn every small moment into a chance to teach her something, even if it is just the sound of words, the movement of hands, or the meaning of simple gestures.I also want to say thank you to Ms. Rachel. Her videos, songs, and gestures have been a big help in keeping my baby engaged. I am so grateful for the way she makes learning fun and interactive, not just for the kids but also for us parents. Her simple yet thoughtful approach has really inspired me to make every moment a chance to teach and bond with my child. There is no perfect formula in parenting, and I know I still have so much to learn. But one thing is for sure—these moments of singing, playing, laughing, and connecting are the memories I will treasure forever. And seeing my baby respond, smile, and learn makes it all worth it.Sharing this not to preach or to pretend I have it all figured out, but just to remind fellow parents and caregivers that sometimes, the simplest things—like a song, a touch, or a playful smile—are the most powerful tools we have in helping our little ones grow.
