Hyperopia vs Myopia

In hyperopia (far-sightedness), objects up close appear blurry.
left picture Zeinab in front—she’s blurry, but Bobby Ray Parks at the back is clear. That's hyperopia.

On the other hand, in myopia (near-sightedness), objects far away are blurry. The person sees things up close clearly, but distances, like Bobby Ray Parks in the back, are blurred.
