Canada announced today a C$28.15 million (approximately PhP 1.1 billion) commitment in development programming for the Philippines, to support efforts in climate adaptation, resilience against natural disasters, and for improved health care services.

This announcement provides further details on the C$ 15 million support for climate adaptation and health announced by Minister of International Development Ahmed Hussen during his visit to Manila on January 10.

This announcement also includes a new C$12.5M commitment for disaster resilience in the Philippines while a further C$0.65M has been set aside for monitoring and evaluation covering all three initiatives.
