PALMER'S SMOOTHING LOTION REVIEW

If you have "strawberry skin" or bumps in your skin scientifically called Keratosis Pilaris (KP) then this product is for you. This lotion has both AHA and BHA which is great for KP. KP usually happens when there is keratin build-up that causes to block your hair follicles which in turn causes bumps or dry skin. Experts say the key to improving the appearance of these bumps is by exfoliating to avoid keratin build-up.

PROs:

🥥 Has Salicylic Acid and Lactic Acid, both really great ingredients to help exfoliate your skin
🥥 Does not leave your skin dry, fast absorbing
🥥 Has cocoa butter, shea butter, sunflower oil, lemon extract and coconut oil
🥥 Leaves skin smooth after several uses
🥥 Anti-aging, smoothens skin and exfoliates

CONS:

🥥Smell can be quite strong. Unlike other Palmer's products, this does not smell like cocoa butter
🥥Consistency not as thick as the usual Palmer's lotion. A 250ml bottle will probably last you 3 weeks to a month
🥥Difficult to find in the Philippines. Product sold out after a few days of purchasing and only one seller sold it on Shopee

Shopee Budol because of Bretman Rock

When we heard Bretman Rock mentioning this lip and cheek serum, we rushed to check its availability on Shopee right away!
Here's our honest review:

🌸 The product leaves a slight stain but does not perform like other long-lasting tints
🌸 Formulation is great. It definitely has the consistency of a serum as it claims
🌸 It does not have a strong scent. It has a faint smell of candy.
🌸 We are really not a fan of roller-type packaging in terms of lip products because controlling the amount of product applied is a little bit challenging. Nonetheless, it does the job.
🌸 Price retails at 249php, not bad for the amount of product in a bottle. One will probably last you three months
🌸 It's great for natural-looking cheeks but will definitely wear off after eating greasy food
🌸 Because it changes color, put only a bit of product if you want to achieve a natural glow

Ingredients: Argania Spinosa (Argan Oil), Cocoa Nucifera, Ethylexyl Palmitate, Isododecane, Castor Oil, Vitamin E, CI45410, Phenoxyethanol Ethylhexylglycerin

AHA

🌸 often derived from fruits
🌸 helps peel away the surface of your skin
🌸 best used for mild pigmentation like spots, scars and for pore minimizing

BHA
🌸 stands for Beta Hydroxy Acid
🌸 gets to the root of the problem, goes deeper into the pores to decrease oil production and remove dead skin cells
🌸 a common BHA used is Salicylic Acid

Both are great for skin exfoliation. Just make sure to hydrate or moisturize your skin when using these products as they can dry your skin.
