How To Treat 6 Different Types of Acne

✅ Whiteheads - Benzoyl peroxide: can be helpful as both a spot treatment and a full face treatment. It helps get rid of bacteria and excess oil. If you have multiple whiteheads in one spot, benzoyl peroxide may be helpful because it can reduce inflammation in the surrounding area. Look for a product with at least 2% benzoyl peroxide.

✅ Blackheads- Salicylic acid: This is available over-the-counter for blackheads as a cleanser or lotion. It helps remove the top layer of damaged skin. Salicylic acid dissolves dead skin cells to prevent your hair follicles from clogging.

✅ Pustule- Applying a spot treatment that contains at least 2% benzoyl peroxide.

✅ Papule- Try washing your face twice daily with an acne face wash that contains benzoyl peroxide or salicylic acid. If you have a lot of papules, it can be helpful to see a dermatologist

✅ Cystic Acne- a powerful prescription medication, is considered the most effective treatment measure for cystic acne.

✅ Nodules- Nodular acne and cystic acne are two of the most severe forms of acne. If you think you have nodular acne, seeing a dermatologist—a healthcare provider specially trained to treat skin, hair, and nails—can be helpful.
