.The 8th International Conference on Medical Education (ICME) for the year 2023 successfully convened in Baku, Azerbaijan, from the 8th to the 10th of October, drawing in more than 450 delegates from a diverse range of countries. This substantial global participation, including representatives from nations like the UK, USA, Saudi Arabia, India, and many others, emphasized the pivotal role of ICME in shaping the future of medical education worldwide.

From the Ayub Medical Teaching Institute Abbottabad, Dr. Iram Sarwar, an esteemed associate professor, proudly represented the institution at this prestigious international platform. Notably, she was the only presenter from public sector medical institutes in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, apart from the representation from Khyber Medical University. Her insightful research paper on medical education, building upon her contributions showcased previously at the prestigious FIGO 2009 held in South Africa and Brazil 2018, garnered significant acclaim from the attendees, highlighting her expertise and dedication to the field. With a diploma in medical education and a profound interest in gynecology and medical research, Dr. Sarwar's notable contributions continue to make a significant impact in the field of medical education, both domestically and globally.
