With more than 22 years of experience in the field of pastry and bakery, Jamil Akhtar has established himself as a highly skilled baking professional with extensive national and international exposure. His journey began in 2004 at the prestigious Pearl Continental Hotel, Rawalpindi, where he received professional training and developed a strong foundation in baking and pastry arts.

Throughout his career, he has worked with some of the most respected hospitality organizations in the region, including Gilgit Serena Hotel and Islamabad Serena Hotel. These experiences allowed him to refine his technical skills, creativity, and expertise in producing high-quality bakery and pastry products.

Jamil's professional journey also took him beyond Pakistan, where he gained valuable international experience in Afghanistan and the Middle East. His commitment to excellence and attention to detail have earned him recognition in every organization he has served.

Today, Jamil Akhtar is working as a Chef de Partie (CDP) – Pastry & Bakery at Khalidiya Palace Rayhaan by Rotana, Abu Dhabi, one of the leading luxury hotels in the United Arab Emirates. In this role, he is responsible for maintaining high standards of quality, innovation, and consistency in bakery and pastry production while contributing to the exceptional guest experience for which the hotel is renowned.

His remarkable journey from Hunza to internationally recognized hospitality establishments reflects the talent and potential that exists within Gilgit-Baltistan.
