Mr. Shahzad Ayub's visit to RBUT Civil Hospital Shikarpur (COE) and meeting with the Medical Superintendent of RBUT Civil Hospital Shikarpur Dr Nadir Ali in which he discussed the gaps found during visit and provided solution with his expertise to overcome such gaps. He also discussed the waste management plan and visited the on going construction of Yellow room and incinerator area.
IPC is crucial in preventing hospital-acquired infections and promoting a safe environment for patients, healthcare workers, and visitors.
The inspection probably covered key areas such as:
- *Hand Hygiene*: Ensuring healthcare workers adhere to proper hand washing and hand sanitizing practices.
- *Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)*: Verifying the correct use of PPE, such as masks, gloves, and gowns.
- *Environmental Cleaning*: Assessing the cleanliness and disinfection of patient care areas, equipment, and surfaces.
- *Waste Management*: Evaluating the proper segregation, storage, and disposal of infectious waste.
The meeting with the Medical Superintendent might have discussed strategies for improving IPC practices, addressing any gaps or challenges identified during the inspection, and ensuring compliance with national IPC standards.
