Construction work on 88 km long Swat Motorway Phase 2 ( from Chakdara to Fatehpur) has been started.
It is said that initially this motorway will consist of four lanes extendable to six lanes in the near future.
As many as nine interchanges would be constructed on this motorway including Chakdara Interchange, Shamozai Interchange, Barikot Interchange, Mingora Interchange, Kanju Interchange, Malam Jabba-University of Swat Interchange, Sher Palam Interchange, Matta Khawazakhela Interchange and Madin-Fatehpur Interchange with four rest areas at different locations and at least eight bridges would be constructed on the Swat River

سوات موٹروے منصوبہ 2016 میں خیبر پختونخوا حکومت نے شروع کیا اور FWO نے یہ منصوبہ 4 سالہ مدت میں مکمل کیا تھا۔ یہ پاکستان کی پہلی موٹروے ہے جو کسی صوبای حکومت نے بنائ ہے۔ اس کے علاوہ پاکستان کی سارے موٹرویز مرکزی حکومت نے بنائ ہے۔
