Last Wednesday, Hey Cali had the honour of welcoming the parents from Ain Society’s Young Heroes, in conjunction with National Caregiver Month this November. These incredible individuals, whose children are undergoing cancer treatment, were invited by for a relaxing mani-pedi session with us.

We were truly touched by their resilience, warmth, and strength. Hosting them was a privilege.

We pray that Allah grants them continued patience and ease, and may He bless their children with complete shifa. 🤍

A Heartfelt Farewell to Our Gems, Farah & Nashra 💙

Some people come into our lives and leave a lasting impact—Farah & Nashra are exactly that.

They were best friends in JC, but we first welcomed Farah into Hey Cali. With zero experience, she stepped into the busiest period of the year—December peak season—and was thrown straight into the deep end. She adapted so quickly that in just 1.5 months, she became one of the fastest to master nail services in our salon. The usual learning period? Three months.

A few months later, Nashra joined us, but her journey was different. She could only commit a few hours after school, 2-3 times a week, making her progress slower. But her patience and perseverance paid off, and after five months, she mastered her craft. And while she took longer in nail skills, she shined in content creation, becoming one of our most confident TikTok live hosts!

One thing we love is helping students financially. We’ve been there ourselves—we know how much every bit of income helps. But more than that, we respect students who choose to learn real skills rather than taking any random part-time job.

What made Farah & Nashra stand out wasn’t just their skills—it was their character and work ethic. They carried themselves with kindness, professionalism, and respect, which speaks volumes about their amazing upbringing. Not to generalize, but many young workers today lack grit and discipline—Farah & Nashra were different. Any employer would be lucky to have them.

Now, as they move on to internships and university, we had a farewell dinner and exit interview to properly send them off. We are truly grateful for their contributions and the energy they brought to Hey Cali. We wish them nothing but success, and we hope their time with us has shaped them into even better individuals for the journey ahead.
